How long have you had your current camera?

I haven't had my Coolpix that often, but I'm considering a new camera. I feel kind of silly because I think I've only had it for a little over a year. Or are cameras like cell phones now where they're practically disposable and you replace them every couple of years?

Don't know about that brad! I've had mine for way too long! Anything in particular you're looking at?

I bought my Fuji S1500 just before our last trip to WDW, last December. It's a great little camera, better than the average point and shoot but not as big or as complex as a DSLR. I understand Fuji have now release the udated version the S1750 but I'll be keeping this one for quite a while.

My camera has some odd artifacts whenever you take a picture with it. It's not enough to ruin the pictures, but it's enough to make me want a new camera. It's been doing it since I got it.

How do you find that for carrying around the parks? I always like to blame my camera for my photos not being better, but deep down I know it's the photographer. Still having a bit more of a "real" camera seems appealing and I might like to get some kind of SLR, but I worry about carrying it around the park.

I seriously put it in my backpack when I dont need it! But between my boyfriend, my son (18) and myself it doesnt see the inside of the backpack very often! I just pick 1 lense for the day...well unless I go back to the room (which always happens!)

Have you ever tried it with a neck-strap or any other way of carrying it? I can stick my point and shoot in my pocket which is a big plus. I hate bringing a bag to the park if I can help it.

Me too! We should start a support group! I think it's one of those vicious cycles. It feels weird because you never wear anything, which you never do because it feels weird...
