I left my heart in San Francisco

Hi Everyone!!!

So I have a pre-trip report that isn't entirely Disney but has some bits sprinkled in here and there!

Many of you may remember my work trip to Chicago last year, first time I had flown in years!!!! Well a few months later I was flying to Ohio for Disneyana and now I'm off on another work trip to the same conference but in San Francisco

There have been so many ups and downs with this trip I don't know where to start.

1. I was going to extend the trip and go to Disneyland. When I started pricing everything out and figuring it out logistically, I nixed it ( . It wasn't an easy thing to do but I also really wanted to be with my family the first time.

2. I picked all sorts of fun stuff to do with my BFF while we were out there then she tells me her boyfriend is going. Nixed all that stuff.

3. Sooooo, I ask Joe to come along. Start planning again. We are staying longer, he is golfing, we are going to Napa and Sonoma Valley. Then, bam, he has a heart attack. He is ok but it was quiet scary, Doc said he can travel/fly so I think ok we are good

4. Joe decides not to go. Not gonna lie, even though I understand he is behind. A week off because of Dorian, a week off because of the heart attack I cried like a baby

So here I am back at square on, planning for me. The other girl going with is is taking her boyfriend too so I will be the 5th squeaky wheel.

So right now plans are:

Fly out Thursday morning. I will get into SFO at about 2. The other girls and their boyfriends are doing a redeye Wednesday night so they will already be there. We are staying the first few nights at an AMAZING looking hotel. The Kimpton Sir Francis Drake. Not gonna lie, when I booked this for all of us I was super giddy! https://www.sirfrancisdrake.com/ Just look at that bar!!!!!! I will be there Thursday Night thru Monday morning. Joe asked if I was just going to come back after the conventions since he wasn't going but I want to stay.

Things I have on my must do list
1. Disney Family Museum
2. Disney Store (hopefully they have a San Fran Mickey)
3. Muir Woods
4. Day trip to Napa or Sonoma
5. The Stinking Rose for dinner, this was going to be my early bday dinner with Joe, I'll go alone, the other girls have no interest. I've wanted to go here since the first time I saw it on the Food Network. https://thestinkingrose.com/sf/
6. Golden Gate Bridge and Sausalito

I've found a few tours on Project Expedition that I will probably book.

I have a ton of restaurants on my list including ones in Chinatown and Little Italy. Plus a couple of awesome looking tiki bars.

I plan on making the most of my trip out there. Never know if or when I will get back to the west coast so why not!
