We bought these today at the Theme Park Connection! What a cool place, like a Disney thrift shop!

So where is the Theme Park Connection? I must go....is it really the theme park "certified" merchandise?

We heard about it on here a while ago and added it to our summer must-do list. It's in Winter Garden, about 30 min. from WDW. It's a Disney collector who has a shop full of Disney "stuff". Some is new, most is collectible items. Tons of real signs, posters and items from the actual parks. He does a lot of buying and selling on e-bay and this is his warehouse, but it's open to the public. We didn't buy that much, just a few little practical things as we are not real Disney collectors, would love to be but we don't have the $. I do appreciate all the cool collectibles though. He has a carousel horse, an ice cream cart, tons of Disney art, lots of items from the resorts, all kinds of odd things from the parks that are really cool and one of a kind. We are not Disney collectors, but I do like to have some practical Disney items around.
We got directions on line, there's a link on an older thread, do a search and you'll find more info. It's worth a trip, a cool experience.
It has been so rainy here, we decided to take a ride up there yesterday afternoon. It was not raining as we were driving home so we decided to hit EPCOT and catch a concert at 5:45. We did Ellen's Energy since we had a little time, and when we got out it was storming. We walked from Ellen to WS, half-way around WS to the back gate, then to Boardwalk in the pouring rain - the boats weren't running b/c of lightning. We were soaking wet even w ponchos on when we got to the car at BW, and I'm sure the 5:45 concert was canceled mad We didn't stay for the 7:00, we just drove home. No such thing as a wasted Disney trip! We'll try again tomorrow since Mike really wants to see the Lynard Skynard tribute band, but it looks like another rainy day yuck waiting

thanks for this great info on the store! Sounds like I may skip it, since I am not a Disney collector either.

Your rainy tale sounds quite familiar....my trip in June was a rainy experience almost every day! I got really bummed, but when I came back a few weeks ago for the 4th, it was hot as blazes...those Florida extremes. Sorry to hear you got drenched yesterday.

I SOOO want to hear that LS tribute band. I keep looking at the calendar trying to rationalize a "run" down there to hear them, but I have some stuff I had to do at the end of this week, and it does not make sane sense. sad

But I will get the hear the U2 group next week!

I am with you, never a wasted Disney day, but it sure is more fun to have at least some breaks in between the rain to get from point A to B....

I go back to school on Aug 2, and kids come on Aug 9. The Disney days are winding down.... mickey

I hear ya on the winding down summer sad We go back the 13th, kids return the 20th. Are you in FL? What county? We are in Pasco co. The LS band is here through Sat. if you decide to be spontaneous this weekend. How far drive do you have? We are a little more than an hr. The U2 band is incredible, we see them every year and will probably try to make a couple trips next week. Lynard Skynard is new this year, so we need to check them out. The Police were pretty good, had a very 80ish feel which we enjoyed. We only got to see one set, they got rained out a lot.

I am in Georgia, and the drive to be spontaneous is around 8 hours (if I drive close to the speed limit)! Coming down next Wednesday, so I just need to chill on Lynryd Skynrd. I would be just rotten if I could get there in an hour...would be there every weekend for sure, and a whole lot during the summer, as I bet you are.

Also hoping for some break in the rain next week in Florida! We are getting a good bit of it up here in Georgia, which is really good for our lake (I live one mile from Lake Lanier) and landscaping. But not so good for Disney touring. mickey
