Its a truly magical day!

So I just found out I am heading to Orlando for work in October and guess what....I booked a room at Port Orleans Riverside! I am flying in Sunday, October 5th and spending the day solo in one of the parks (tbd) and then working with a colleague on Monday and heading to Epcot for F&W Fest Monday night with her for dinner! Then flying home early Tuesday. Its a quick trip, but Woo Hoo, its a Disney trip! I'm so excited!!

I'm a huge Port Orleans fan, but I've always stayed on the FQ side. This will be my first Riverside experience. Can't wait to compare the two!

Yay..We watched our 2010 vacation DVD last night which was our second stay at PORS..( 3 stays at PORS ) Ah memories..The boat ride down the ole Sassagoula...The magic cookie bar at the bakery..The awesome Fultons gift shop..The really good meal at Boatwrights...The smell of orange blossom and sweet magnolia in the air..Waking up at Parterre Place and walking down those stairs I felt like Rhett Butler in " Gone with the Wind. ".... Enjoy yourself ...

So , do tell where was/is this Fulton's gift shop? As many times as we have eaten there, we have never seen or heard of this.

Hey MrHub, Watchmaker is referring to the gift shop at POR - it's called Fulton's General Store.

Spot on JanJ...Another Scottish reference that's getting mixed up..To yourself it's a store...To us it's a gift shop, where one can purchase many items..Another example...To us "Hess" is a small supermarket located in downtown Disney..

I so wish I could stay longer, but hey...I'll take whatever WDW time I can get. OK so now the big question....one day, which park? I'm thinking MK, but I'm open to hearing other arguments!

MK all the way. Much as I love the other parks, there's no other park that captures the spirit and ambiance that Magic Kingdom does...
