JoAnn's November 2013 Pre-Trip Report and Trip Report

My vacation can't get here soon enough... I just spend the last hour and a half dealing with a work issue.

The trip is so close. I hope this week goes by fast.

Noting planned at the moment. Friday will be a "go with the flow" day. We have breakfast at Kouzzina and dinner at Portobellos. Nothing planned in between. Saturday is breakfast at Pop and lunch the Plaza Restaurant.

I really should be in bed but I'm too excited to sleep. I'll be on a plane to MCO at 6:00am.

I hope to meet up with those that will be down there at the same time.

Thanks everyone. Made it to Orlando. Waiting for my mom's flight.

Been a great trip so far. Been on the go since arrival. Hopefully this afternoon I'll have time to get out the laptop and give the highlights.

Been able to walk on most rides. The longest standby time so far was 40 minutes to the Jungle Cruise but didn't take that long.

The lobby was decorated last night. Love waking up and seeing the Christmas decorations.

Lots of good food and fun so far this trip. I would post a few pictures but I realized I forgot the cord for my camera and can't upload my pictures to my laptop. Here are a few highlights from the trip so far:

* Was told by two woman on my flight down that I looked familiar from a couple of the Disney groups on facebook. One asked if I was on the Mom's Panel. I mentioned that I was an active member on this site. One of the woman is familiar with site.
* Have tried 8 new restaurants so far this trip (7 more to go)
* Really enjoyed the Spirit of Aloha how, had seats up front on the left side of the stage.
* I said it before but I will say it again - loved, loved, loved the California Grill.
* The Flag Retreat at MK left me a little teary eyed. If you haven't taken the time to watch it, make the time on your next trip.
* Sometimes being friendly and saying HI to a person can be a mistake. I had to listen to this woman at Pop complain about everything and anything about her trip to Disney. I just stood there smiling and nodding. She finally stopped talking and asked where I was from. When I told her Connecticut, I then had to hear about her entire Navy career (she was stationed in CT). Again, I just kept smiling and nodding.

Almost forgot one more highlight - had my first (and certainly not last) Lapu Lapu today. The waiter thought it was a little odd that I ordered one with breakfast.

I arrived back home last night. I'll be working on my trip report this week.

One last highlight to share - I am an annual passholder.
