Just a few more days until I leave for Disney! I need advice! :)

Hey everyone!

Some of you may know since I've mentioned it before that my best friend and I are going to Disney for a spring break trip and it's our first time going "alone" or as the "adults" haha! We're really excited, but I am also a little nervous!

I just got our luggage tags with a booklet in the mail the other day. I'm wondering if we just put the tags right onto our luggage and check them in regularly at the airport? And the booklet with the itinerary/coupons/tickets in it.. should I carry that with me? What will I need it for?

Sorry for all of the questions.. I hope I don't sound stupid, lol! I've just never done this so I have no idea where to start... it's coming up so quick!!! Laughing out loud

Yay Mickey Mail!!!

The yellow tags go on your suitcase before you check them in at the airport. With the tags, you can by-pass baggage claim and your suitcases will appear in your room a few hours later. If there is anything you think you may need when you get there, pack it your carry-on.

You will need the booklet when you get into Orlando. Your DME reservation is included in the booklet. You will need to show it before you get in line.

Have a lovely trip what a great first adult holiday. I carry all my papers in my hand luggage as it never leaves me. That way if my luggage gets lost I have all my necessary documents, so I would carry it all.

Thanks everyone! So it's that simple? The luggage tags just being on our bags gets them to our hotel room? Amazing! How does Disney do it? Haha!

are those the only luggage tags you got in the picture because those are not the dme tags those are just the luggage tags you get from your regular mickey mail, you needed to request dme to get the yellow sticky tags with your name and your travel voucher for the bus

I agree with Senseicj. The luggage tags pictured are NOT the DME barcoded luggage tags that you affix to your luggage to make them Magically appear in your room. Better iron that out before you think your luggage is on it's way but is really sitting all lonely at the airport baggage claims. The DME ones are skinny, yellow and have a bar code printed on them.

Good call! If you didn't get the yellow ones in the mail, you should give them a call and make sure to get some ASAP because that is how Disney knows to/how to route your luggage. The ones in your picture are just for fun.

Becky did you request DME? If not call Disney and tell them what happened and they can probably overnight them to you. Call them right away though!

Just wanted to update anyone who was wondering that my DME tags did come in! Just separately than the other stuff. Whew! I was nervous for a little bit, but Disney pulled through! No more worries! yay
