Hi All!
I just had so many pictures to share from this trip that I figured i'd do an extremely delayed trip report! So here goes!
My boyfriend (at the time, now my husband) had never been to Disney World and I just HAD to take him there! We decided to take a vacation for 10 days in July... We actually went down there week of July 4th... This was the first trip to Disney that I had ever planned myself, and I didn't really know what I was doing haha. Although, the parks really weren't as bad as others made them out to be during this peak week. We decided to drive down from New Jersey, because we both dislike flying and you can just bring whatever you want in the car with you... It's a wonderful thing!
We left around 12AM on July 2nd. I drove through the night while Mark slept in the passenger seat. As we approached Ocean City, Maryland, I couldn't resist waking him up so that we could catch the sunrise on the beach! Both of us were exhausted, but we were able to get out of the car to snap a few pictures, and allow the romance to begin!
Our next stop was the Chesapeak Bay Bridge. I don't know how many of you have ever driven over this bridge, but it is ridiculously LONG. Miles and Miles long.
Our next stop was Virginia Beach where we decided to park our car, grab our pillows, and head out onto the beach for an afternoon nap. We were sooooo tired..
Our last stop before our final trek to Orlando was Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed the views of the rides and stopped for a bite to eat and a Margarita!
And FINALLY! We reach our destination! WDW!
We stayed at Homewood Suites in Lake Buena Vista for the first 4 days. The hotel was brand new, huge, comfortable, and I LOVED it. I know it's not a WDW hotel, but like I said... First time I ever planned a WDW vacation on my own and I wasn't familiar with all of the options available.
We had a huge kitchen with a full sized fridge, dishwasher, oven, and stove! So we were able to go food shopping and be flexible with leftovers, etc.
The living room was big and comfy
We had a separate bedroom with a really comfortable bed
We loved the hotel. They served breakfast every morning with make your own mickey waffles and lots of yummy food. The hotel was clean, and new, and close enough to the parks for us.
Day 1 at WDW coming soon!!!
