So when going as a couple, we always find this is probably one of the biggest differences in our enjoyment of the room. Is this a big deal to anyone else? I'd rather have a less nice room with a bigger bed.

I always prefer a single king bed to the twin queens that are found in most rooms. Mrs T on the other hand prefers the twin queen rooms so that she gets a bed to herself.
I can only please one person per day. Today isn't your day... tomorrow doesn't look good either.
We prefer a king bed too. But if a king is not available two queens are fine and like Tony we each get our own bed. We are going to be staying in a room in Animal Kingdom in June with just one queen bed. Not sure how well we are going to like sharing a queen. We have not done that in a long time.
I'm so glad to hear there are others who feel like the queen beds are a little too small! I'm not sure how we'd do with a double bed values or mods. We always hold out for the king bed there. Luckily, king beds don't cost extra in the values (but they do in the mods and everywhere else).

Are you a snorer Tony?
Who me? Mrs T says so, but I don't believe her

I the king beds, too! We always request them when possible. They cost a bit more at CSR, but it's usually worth it.

Do you think the two queens are a popular configuration because people do two parents in one bed and 1-2 kids in the other?
I think so, although a queen and two singles would be better in that situation.

Yeah, but then you'd REALLY have to crawl over each other to get to the bathroom!
Hubs is 6'5". King beds and exit row seating are practically requirements
Dave is 6'1 and his feet stick off the bed
We always request a king bed but we are usually just pretty happy with what we get. With the parents traveling with kids situation I always thought the queen bed plus bunk beds were a nice feature at AKL. It wouldn't work at most normal hotels..but at Disney I think it's something they should do in more rooms.
We're both 5'11", and our feet are right t the end of the bed. We always try to upgrade to the king bed, but we're done the queen beds a few times and it's not that bad. It's cozy!
Hi,
I sleep on my mom's old brass queen bed, so a double or queen bed is fine. I got an upgrade to a king bed in 2005 when I stayed in WL, because my travel agent told Disney that I have cerebral palsy and some mobility problems. I didn't know this until I checked in and Jackie, the rep, asked me, "King bed?"

Upgrades are always great! I had no idea WL had king bed rooms!

wow, that's pretty tall! I'm only 5'2 and my boyfriend is...I'm not sure actually...5'10 or something...so I reckon we'll be just fine with a queen. 6'5 though - his feet much stick off the end of the bed!!?!
I'm surprised those tiny WL rooms can fit a king bed.
I was pleasantly surprised in June when we had a queen sized bed. Neither of us felt it was too small.

We have a queen bed at home and I think it's too small

Hi,
Because I nearly always travel alone, and pack light, I have no problems with room sizes. Compared to rooms in value resorts, those in Wilderness Lodge are large.
Jim
The king bed isn't a requirement but it sure it nice. It's like a vacation from our small bed at home.
