Krystal's Fall pre-trip/trip report

Our magicbands were delivered first thing this morning!! I was so excited to open them up

Well tonight is our last night at home. Tomorrow we will stay at a hotel near the airport then super early Wednesday morning we'll be off to FL

So far we are having a great time only 3 days left in our trip, tonight we are going to Downtown Disney to bowl and have dinner. We went to Magic Kingdom today and it was hot hot hot! I had my first Dole Whip float and loved it I bought my purse and got a wristlet to match. Tomorrow we head to Epcot!

So we are home from our trip..today was my first day back to work and boy was it rough lol. I've got a pretty big case of post vacation blues but my hubby knew just what would raise my spirits... He wants to go on a cruise for our vacation next year and said that it can be a Disney Cruise and he agreed to a few days at the parks before we depart. Now I know why I love him so much

I will be updating our trip report this week most of our plans stayed the same..some changes were made mostly the cancellation of two of our adrs that we changed our minds on. All in all it was a pretty perfect getaway and we can't wait to visit again.

For me vacation started at 2:30pm on 9/24 as that's the time I got off work. My husband Ray was already home and getting a few last minute things together. We started loading up our suv with all our bags..We tend to over pack and this trip was no exception. We had a total of six bags between the two of us, but my carryon and purse were mostly empty leaving space for all the shopping I wanted to do

We finished packing up and I took a last look around...it was finally here the trip I'd been counting down to for months on end and this was the last time I'd see my house for 11 days! I jotted a note to our future selves on our little white board welcoming us home and hoping we had a good time then I was out the door. First stop was to my parent's house, where we would drop off our fur children to be watched and pick up my brother Luke and cousin Robert. We arrived and dropped off Jack our tiny Yorkie and Joker our long haired doxie. My Mom made us dinner homemade broccoli cheddar soup and bread yummmmy! After a few last good byes we were on our way.

We all got up and ready to go, we were in the lobby by 4am and went right out to the shuttle. Once dropped off at the airport we quickly got through security without incident and got breakfast at McDonalds. Not liking what I was seeing in the mirror I used this trip as extra motivation for myself and lost a total of 28lbs. This breakfast at McDonalds was my first fast food in 5 months and it was good haha. We got to our gate and not five minutes later were called for loading. Thanks to one of my husband's employees who also works at Airtran/Southwest we were all able to sit together and the flight went smoothly.

TOUCHDOWN! We finally landed in Orlando it was just after 8am. It was slightly overcast and already warm so we got our luggage, picked up our car and we were off! We arrived to the Universal Resorts area pretty quickly. Since it was getting hotter and was still overcast we headed down to the pool, there was only one other family down there so it was like having the place to ourselves! After a long swim we played games at the pool and won free smoothies. We got Universal's PhotoConnect star card package. We bought it before the price increase and online for an extra 10 dollar discount so we only paid 39.99 for it. We felt it was a great value as it includes photos with the photographers and your ride photos, also you get a personalized photoconnect card with your choice of pics printed on it, a cd with all your photos and a free 5x7 or 8x10 print. We didn't stay at the park long, just did a quick circuit then went for dinner and games at Dave and Buster's.
