I haven't heard anything, but I thought it could be to make it more handicap accessible? I don't think there was an elevator and the only bathrooms were on the second floor. While I loved the nooks and crannies, I'm sure that the floor plan was a challenge for those with mobility issues.
And agree with Mousedreaming - I'll revolt if they get rid of the OGTC!

Currently the only information out there is that the kitchen is being overhauled to provide room for joint operations between the LTT and the new Adventureland eatery that will be going in. I'm unsure of what else will be done to LTT, but I'm sure there will be some other tweaks made while the kitchen work is going on.
