Happy to hear you made it home safely. Here's hoping that you heal quickly!
Aww man. Just catching up and saw this. Here's hoping the surgeon visit went well and you'll be on the mend soon. Shame on Disney!
Hope your visit to the surgeon went well today!
Surgeon decided to set it and cast to see if it will heal. What a traumatic experience that was. I could not breathe or stop shaking. Go back next week to see if surgery will be needed.Still no word from Disney.
Forgot - also have a contusion on my rib, but no break there! 12 weeks to heal that one.
I hope you don't have to have surgery. Setting a bone like that is painful and very traumatic. Here's hoping that you have a speedy recovery.
Best of luck with your recovery!! Hoping the healing comes quick! It's good to see it didn't get you too down on your trip
Hope you heal quick Doc!
DisneyDoc, I'm so sorry about your accident. Apologies for the rather abrupt private message I sent in response to yours. I didn't see your message before we left, and since hubby and I still have "stupid" phones I had to borrow LuvAllDisney's smart phone Friday to see your message and respond. So I wanted to keep it as brief as possible.
It's too bad I didn't read your message earlier; as it happened, we spent a fair part of Friday at Epcot because the MK crowd estimates were so high. So sorry we missed you. Hope you're feeling better and your injuries heal quickly. And hope our travel schedules synch up sometime in the future so we can finally talk cats.
Yes, we must talk cats! I just was not doing too well Friday - still dragging around a twisted and broken paw for the third day by then.
But I still had a great time - Epcot was so beautiful, and I enjoyed HS too.
I will be back. My next trip is booked for the end of June, if this arm agrees.
Hope you feeling better soon. A couple years ago we have a number of rides break down WHILE we were on them. I wasn't expecting any result, but I thought they should know that one family was affected by this list of events. First off someone from management called, then we "offered" one free day pass (not much good for us) but at least someone saw the complaint. Your situation is much more serious and you should report it to the higher ups. The lack of care is really not acceptable. The LEAST someone could do was drive you there.

Hi doc! How are you feeling? Hope your wrist is healing up properly!! Just a note to say I'm thinking about you!

Thinking of you DDoc...and hope that Disney sends some pixie dust your way !
Thank you! I finally called guest claims at Disney today to plead my case. It went straight to voicemail with a message that I would hear back the next day.
LOL I imagine they have to clear something thru legal because honestly, this isn't "they really should have helped you" to
Crap, this could easily have become a lawsuit."

DD keeping you in my thoughts as you face surgery. I hope Disney comes through.
How are you doing?
Hope it stops hurting soon Doc! Unfortunately, I don't really see Disney doing anything at this point. You probably should have stayed where you were when you fell and you may have gotten more attention than you did, especially if it was carpet, but at this point they probably fixed it by now and there is no proof of what caused your fall.
So glad you are on the mend. Nothing worse than all that metal in your arm.
Glad to hear that you've gotten through the surgery! Things can only go up from here!!
