Lunch in Norway for Adults

Hi, we are planning a long trip to Orlando and I want to start making dining reservations. We wanted to try some place at Epcot that we haven't tried before and the Norway restaurant menu looks interesting...but..
We wanted to go for a late lunch, will we be the only people there without 'princesses"? or are the princesses only there for dinner? We want to have a good experience and not feel out of place.

We have dined in Morocco, France, Canada, etc. so we wanted to try something new.

Thanks!

I believe the princesses and friends are there the whole day. You wouldn't be out of place. My boyfriend and I had a great time while we dined. Each princess stopped by our table to pictures and autographs.

The Princesses are there all day, but they are very good at interacting with childless adults. I don't think you would feel out of place at all. I love Akershus.

If you haven't already tried the pastries at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in Norway, I highly recommend getting your dessert there. They have some of the best Pastries in all of WDW!

We did Akershus on our last trip and we had the same concerns, but we really wanted to try Norwegian food. The food was fantastic--some of my favorite in EPCOT, but my husband definitely felt very self conscious eating here. He would go again with some prodding, but I don't see him asking to go back. For us, some of that sentiment is price driven. It's a character meal, so we're paying for princesses even though we couldn't care less if they are at our dinner--we just wanted to try the food.

thanks for all the info..we have decided on Biergarten for that date...I've been busy with dining reservations during the Holiday season...so far I have Kona Cafe, Trails End, (first stop), Biergarten, Brown Derby and California Grill for Jan. 6th..other suggestions for 2 non-drinking baby boomers would be welcome!

If you do a lunch we loved the counter service in Norway the school bread was amazing. Chefs de France is our favorite. We like crystal palace to enjoy the energy around main st. Getting a subtle view of the castle is fun.

For other suggestions:

Chefs de France
Teppan Edo. Please keep in mind that it's one of the Japanese places where they cook in front of you. You will be at a table with other groups. If this makes you uncomfortable, don't eat there. Of course Biergarten also has the tables that pair you with another group...
Well, I don't think you'll be able to get Be Our Guest...
50s Prime Time in Hollywood Studios

EDIT: See if you can get BOG. I just clicked on a later time for the heck of it and ended up getting it.

EDIT 2: I cancelled it for 2 on Jan 7 at 4:20. Grab it now if you want it.

I'm using one of my QS credits in Norway for Lunch next week, is school bread available for dessert for the meal? I just had my first taste of school bread a couple months ago and now I'm hooked.

I had breakfast in Norway on Thursday morning. I had a great time. We had my friends 9 year old niece with us. I was right up there with her getting autographs and pictures with the princesses.

I'll try, it may be too late!! I like the Japan idea, we enjoy that kind of seating...we've done 50s Prime Time, a favorite.
