Lunch at the Port Orleans French Quarter Food Court

I'm pretty much hanging out at the Hotel today so I thought I'd document my experiences at the food court.

One of the things I like best about the POFQ Food Court is that it has quite a few uncommon options. While it has the usual pizza and burgers:

(See, even the burger is a "Creole Burger!" -- Anyone know what that means?)

It also has a nice selection of po boys, a muffuletta sandwich and beignets (which is what had brought me here in the past):

The decor is fun too:

I had the muffuletta sandwich as it was another nice, unusual food court offering:

As you can see it comes with the standard "Disney chips." It was actually quite good. The olive taste was very strong, but it became less distracting as I ate more of it. I think it's pretty good compared to most food court offerings in Disney World.

I'll probably go back for dinner, so I'll add some more pictures of whatever I get then if I do.

I've only ever ventured into the POFQ food court once and as wonderful as the options were, those giant Mardi Gras heads freaked me out!

We went over and just walked through. I agree...the giant heads were a bit odd! But then, I've never been to Mardi Gras, so I'm probably missing context.

The menu looks tasty! I figure the creole burger would have some blackening seasoning, and maybe a tomato/onion/garlic topping of some sort. Maybe even some sausage. But that's clearly a guess. Smile

I agree..I've never seen them up close but they are..gigantic!

Those beigents..yum! I know you did not eat this but now I have a hankering for a Meatball Sub. I had one at POR before and they actually toasted the sub roll with garlic and butter..ack that was delicious.
