Hello Everyone! My name is Angie & I've been lurking on this wonderful site for about two months.
I am a Police Officer who currently works afternoon shift so your site has given me lots of
decompression reading after I get home in the evening and try to unwind.
I am going to Disney World from Sept. 30th thru Oct. 6th 2012 with my S/O- AJ. We are both in
our early 40's and am really looking forward to seeing The World with adult eyes
I've been to Magic Kingdom twice, when I was in my early twenties..and Epcot/Hollywood Studios (MGM)
once during the same time period. This time I'm really looking forward to taking time to appreciate the
back stories and architecture Disney has put into The Worlds!
AJ has been to the Magic Kingdom once with her sister wayyyy back when - so this will all be new again.
My favorite ride is the Haunted Mansion- AJ has never been on it-so it will be fun to share it with her.
Her favorite ride is the Tower of Terror-and I've never been on that one- so it will be new for me.
AJ's favorite character is Remy from Ratatouille and I'm an Evil Queen fan from Snow White.
This is our 6th year wedding anniversary & we will be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter. I love
all things French & Italian so this was my first choice. I have never stayed on site before and am looking
forward to using all the transportation options and not having to drive a car! We are flying in from
Michigan and this is the first time we have used the Magical Express The New Orleans design
looks romantic and less busy, a plus for us wanting to steal a few minutes to ourselves.
We have the Free Disney Dining Plan and I will post a Pre-Trip shortly ...
Thank you so much for all your input on this site, it has been so very helpful in planning our vacation!
Some of the ideas I've found around the Disney sites has been a Countdown to Disney Basket-where I pre-wrapped
fun little trinkets and have been AJ open one a day for the 29 days leading up to vacation. I've learned all
about Mickey Mail and the fun of enjoying the countdown process. I throughly enjoy the planning process
and immerse myself in blogs, books and articles to the fullest extent (must be the cop in me~! ).
AJ is happy to let me take the vacation planning reigns and I occasionally ask for dining opinions or
suggestions (but not often LOL). She only asks we schedule relaxation points in my break neck scheduling
for short moments of the day.
Thanks again for your great site!
