The parks blog says it will include favorite scenes and songs from the movie... sounds pretty unimaginative to me... Sigh... I wonder what the Norwegian CMs in the area think.

I'm going to miss the scanning eye and the trolls. "Back...back... Over the falls!"
I'm not really liking how Frozen is taking over the landscape. I understand the business reasons behind it of course. But I'm more generally drawn to attractions that aren't tied to movies. Things that are just unique to Disney World like Spaceship Earth, the People Mover and yes, Maelstrom. But that's just me.
I'll post my response from the other thread:
I'm honestly ok with it. I got to ride it one last time this past trip and I gave it a silent goodbye as we left since it was so painfully obvious that this was coming. I agree that I'm worried about that area becoming completely bogged down now...but Epcot is definitely in need of a few more FP+ worthy attractions and this should fit the bill!

I finally rode Maelstrom for the first time this past trip (twice!) and loved it A LOT, so I'm really sad that this trip was the first and only trip I'll ever get to ride it on. I mean, it was pretty much guaranteed that it was coming, but I'm still really sad about it and wish I had gone to EPCOT just one more time to ride it this trip.
I have 3 FP booked for our upcoming trip it closes 2 days before we leave to come home so I still have a lot of opportunities to ride it (and cling onto the boat in the hope I can take it home) I'm very very sad and like everyone else I'm hoping that it will be something innovative rather than the same ride but with frozen characters in
I've said it before and I'll say it again please feel free to put frozen in every single park (Including EPCOT) but not in norway
I have never ridden Maelstrom and now I won't have a chance to. The first time I went to Epcot in 2010 I was going to ride but remember seeing something about getting wet on the ride and I didn't have anything to protect the stuff in my purse (phone, camera, etc), so I didn't go. I never got around to it after that.
Not sure how I feel about this. Like Ken said, I understand the business reasoning behind it. I saw an article online recently (didn't have a chance to read it) about Disney missing out on the Little Mermaid so they are making up for it with Frozen. I'll see if I can find it.
I'll see what they come up with.
found it....

That was an interesting read. Makes me wonder what if Disney management did decide to go all in terms of adding park attractions quickly for the Renaissance movies.....
"All my life I wonder how it feels to pass a day, not above them but part of them.
And out there living in the sun, give me one day out there, all I ask is one to hold forever. Out there where they all live unaware, what I'd give, what I'd dare, just to live one day out there."
