Magic Kingdom Plan

Just wondering where everyone heads to as soon as they enter the MK. Do you shop on Main Street? Do you stop at the bakery? Do you go straight through the castle? ect. My family always goes down Main Street and goes straight to Adventure Land. We have done this every time we go and it's probably my favorite part of beign in Disney walking over that Adventure Land bridge and hearing all the music.

The past couple of trips we head to Peter Pan first. Then we head over to Adventureland, and maybe even stop for an early Dole Whip. biggrin

Either Peter Pan (if I have a FP) or Liberty Square.

Straight to Aloha Isle for a Dole Whip Float! Then it depends, but we usually keep the same clockwise circuit from left to right around the park, hitting Main Street on our way out.

After getting a guest assistance card for me, we usually head right to Adventureland for Dole Whip and Pirates!

Unless we have a FP for something, we don't have a set plan (this goes for any of the parks). I am drawn towards the castle as most people are but after that, nowhere specific. We always hit ALL the stores on the way out.

We do not have a set plan. Sometimes we will spend time on Main Street. Sometimes we head for the People Mover. And sometimes we head to the Haunted Mansion. Friday we heard straight to the castle because we had breakfast there.

My Magic Kingdom plans varies each trip. Last trip, I headed to New Fantasyland given the logic that a new attraction or new land area will attract a ton of people and probably be packed by mid-afternoon. Another time, I headed straight to Fantasyland and another, I just headed to Adventureland first.

We always try to get to MK for rope drop and than we head for the Jungle Cruise and than Pirates. After that we mix it up and if we need a snack we head for Gaston's tavern for a cinnamon roll.

Depends on the time of day. If it is rope drop we usually head straight for Space Mountain. Any other time and it's up in the air.

I typically head for a photopass photographer. Then it depends.

I've been considering this. I really want a good family picture from this trip on our Magic Kingdom Day, and stopping at a Photopass photographer before everyone scatters might be my best bet.

We've been visiting WDW since the late 70's wheelchair , as you can imagine, we've seen most whoopdedoo .

But we are usually drawn towards Adventure Land followed by coffee and danish. Unless, we are with new friends, then we are drawn towards Adventure Land followed by coffee and danish clapping

It being our first trip, I rather expect once I walk through the tunnel I will be like a deer in the headlights. The plan upon arrival is to go see Tink, find Mickey Ears and then make our FP time, the Anna & Elsa meet & greet.

We nearly always do rope drop and bypass Main Street in the morning. Our usual course of action os straight to Adventureland for Pirates and Jungle Cruise, then Frontierland for BTMR, then Liberty Square. If it's a MEMH day, we go straight to Fantasyland (Adventureland doesn't open for MEMH) and hit PPF and now 7DMT first thing. Regardless, we almost always save Main Street for the afternoon because we like to watch Festival of Fantasy from Main Street and if we pick a good spot, we can see the Dapper Dans and the Main Street Philharmonic while we wait.

Alicemouse, any suggestions for a good parade viewing spot?

Hmmmm, we change it up every time. Sometimes we check out the Emporium, other times we head to Liberty Square or Fantasyland thru Tomorrowland. We've gone every way, although we do tend to head up Main Street and make our way to Liberty Square the majority of the time. wink

I liked downstairs in front of the train station the best because you can see the floats straight on and then from the side when they turn. This works if you're standing on the exterior loop around the hub also. But at the train station, your pictures have the floats with the castle in the background. It's probably even better upstairs on the train platform, but I haven't tried that yet.

DH and I watched the parade upstairs on the train platform and it was awesome! Because there are tables and chairs up there, it is very popular so you have to get there early! We shared a Micky Pants sundae while we waited. Some of the floats are so tall they look you in the eye!!

First thing I do is stare in amazement at the castle and wipe a few tears, then it's off to Adventureland for a Jungle Cruise! Only 152 days to go! clapping clapping clapping

We always go full circle round the park on the steam train Smile then we head up Main Street and watch the move it parade before heading to tomorrowland usually. We've been trying to mis it up a bit lately, we've stopped for breakfast a few times at Main Street bakery and hit adventureland first. Also this last trip the train was down for maintenance so no first ride tradition for us Sad

If MK is open on the day we arrive (depends on flight/tiredness/MNSSHP) then we slow walk up Main Street, and the head into Adventure Land, maybe Splash, Big Thunder and then Haunted Mansion, then find food and watch the fireworks.

Been a while since I last logged in but hear now so...... MK is always the first park we visit, (we arrive in FLO late, check in to the hotel, have a good notes sleep and BOOM!! hit MK the next day)we normally take a walk up Main St. stopping at the emporium and MS bakery. We normally turn left to Adventureland, working our way round to finish in TomorrowLand. Normally this involves a few cuts into different lands during the day for FP's or lunch etc. but we normally go left to right.

We always hop aboard the train and make the trek to Frontierland. We disembark there and hurriedly make our way to BTMR for a few trips around the track before the crowds build to where you actually have to wait in line for more than 5-10 minutes.. Then we go clockwise around the park, taking our FP's into account. Shopping is always done at the end of the day and big shopping on Main street is done last night of trip. It's funny how we get into a routine when visiting the parks..

I guess I've never thought of taking the train over to frontier land. That sounds like a good idea to get those rides done first before anyone else is at that part of the park.
