Wait,.. I get a picture of all sorts of interesting sights,.. but no Florida spider??? C'mon...(just kidding)

The devil you say!Yes yes I know, you've heard rumors to the contrary, but no "They can not control the weather!"
Oh , and no, there is no bubble they raise over the MK when a hurricane comes, and no the Castle can not be lowered under ground either, and no they do not grow mutant turkeys in the back lot that only have legs and no head, and 4 (four) leg to beat that!MM Sorry to hear you had a bad night.
MrHub, I'm heart-broken,.. all my mythological preconceptions of WDW have been dashed to the ground, and trodden under your heel. No bubble? No Sinking castle?? I could have sworn I saw a picture of a four-legged, no-headed turkey while going thru the food blog.I,.. I think I need a beer to soothe my nerves. Maybe 2 beers,.... or 3,.....and a shot, .. Wanna beer before there all gone MrHub?
Sure, but I would like a shot (Jack) & a beer, good dark ale preferably.
Hmmm, all out of Jack,.. Would some Bushmills, and a bottle of Weyerbacher do ya?
Yup, that would fit the bill!
Yay! So glad to here that you were finally able to get a solution to your party problems. Sheesh! It should have had to be that difficult.
Your pictures from this day are a-maz-ing. That castle shot with the fireworks is dern near perfect. Isn't it amazing how some blue sky and sunshine brings out better color in everything? I must admit though, I'm still not used to the talking/blinking Mickey and Minnie. The picture of Mickey with his mouth shut freaked me out a little!
Looking forward to hearing about Remy!
So glad to hear that your MNSSHP debacle ended up with a semi-happy ending and that you were able to enjoy a gorgeous day in MK the next day! I was devestated for you reading that TR!

That is a little creepy. Especially the picture of Minnie with her eyes closed but her eye lashes are still up.
MM - I'm glad you were able to get a refund for the party. Looking forward to reading more.
Nice report and pictures.
Friday was Epcot 5pm for dinner reservations at Les Chefs De France.... and to meet Remy! After the harrowing spider incident for AJ (see above) .. we made it over to Les Chefs about 15 minutes early and were seated right away by a little window seat in the corner. Remy wasn't supposed to start making his rounds till about 5:20pm. With the rain pouring down and the beautiful french accents, it wasn't hard to let your imagination take you back to Paris.
Pretty soon we heard laughter from the other side of the room and we knew Remy must be on the way! But first, food for thought !
The Prix Fixe 3 course meal is available to use on table service credits so we ordered that. AJ started with an incredible cheesy French Onion Soup (Soupe a l'oignon gratinee - the classic onion soup topped with Gruyere cheese)
I ordered the creamy Lobster Bisque (Bisque de Homard - Lobster bisque)
Complete with fresh hot baked French Bread, they were both the best soup I've had!!
For our main course AJ had Gratin de macaroni - Baked macaroni with cream and gruyere cheese
and I had Plat de cotes de boeuf au Cabarnet avec pates - Beef short ribs braised in Cabernet with pasta, pearl onions and mushrooms
They were both incredible, although I think mine was better ~ the meat was firm yet fell apart with your fork..it was heavenly!
Remy started coming closer and we could finally get a peak at him..they took him to each table and his "handler" was very good at staying in character. A table near us did not know who Remy was and asked to take his picture. The handler was hysterical... slammed the lid over Remy and "went off" on the people "oh you want to take his picture and you dont even know who he is! you dont know his name ! what is his name? " They were laughing and answered "Ratatouille" and he replied "NO! that is a dish of food, that is not his name, why do you want a picture of someone who you dont know the name of? " ..his accent was thick and it was hysterical... another table wanted Remys picture and they knew his name however the handler kept arguing with Remy and saying NO they want MY picture not yours Remy! This is the pose they got
By the time Remy got to our table he is so adorable! His nose, head, hands all move, he speaks in twitters and head nods, it really is incredible and not hard to believe he is alive in some way.. ! The time goes all too quick. They only spend a few moments at each table but it was priceless!
After Remy's visit it was time for dessert... AJ opting for the Creme Brulee - Vanilla creme brulee served with a Madeleine
And after the rave reviews on this site I took the Profiteroles au chocolat - Puff choux with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce
again, both were wonderful but mine was better ...hehe.... ~ I highly recommend Chefs to all of you!
I am so entranced with the French culture I even took a picture of the bathroom doors.....
We returned to POFQ by 7pm as my friend was driving up from Sebastian to visit with us. When she arrived we took the boat to Riverside and found a quiet spot to sit have a few drinks and catch up. By midnight she was gone and we went to bed.
Saturday morning we had a slow breakfast in the cafeteria. We had ate in our rooms all week from the food we ordered from Garden Grocer but this morning I had to have those famous Mickey waffles ! We packed up and was ready to go by 1130am. Our bus was not to be there till 1:40pm so I requested an earlier bus and they had room. There just wasn't enough time to really go anywhere or do anything and it was too sad and depressing to sit in the lobby knowing we were leaving this magical place. We hopped the earlier bus and made it to the airport early. We browsed all the gift stores and I finally found my Evil Queen sweatshirt in my size so I made a last minute purchase.

More to follow , work just called me in for overtime ..sigh....
I'm so glad you got to see Remy. It looks like the same guy who brought him to our table when I was there last November.
I've never before considered eating at Les Chefs de France, but your pictures and report have made me wish that I had a reservation there. Maybe for my trip next June. You make it sound fantastic. Does Remy interact with people appropriately, or does it seem like a set routine?
Remy seems to do both...at times it seemed like the handler did all the talking so remys routine could be preplanned to some extent but other times he seemed to react to the customers questions..AJ thought the handler was palming a small remote but either way..it seemed pretty flawless!
Great report.
I've always found the silhouette on the men's room door at Chef's to be a little disturbing. What is he using his hat for?

Well
I like CdF. I love the escargots. This year I will have to order the creme burlee because the bakery will be closed. Hopefully I will not see Remy. eewwww
Great trip report. I loved your photos from the Safari - that is now on our list of things to do. So glad you at least got some resolution about the Halloween Party fiasco - what a disappointment.

Time marches on. Eventually you realize it's doing it across your face.
