Main Street USA Flooded

Cool pic of a flooded Main Street USA. Got me thinking: Would you think that was a bad experience, or a good experience. I've really enjoyed some of the "weird" days I've had at WDW.

If it were my first trip that would probably be a drag, but now that I've been...a few times...it's really interesting to have unusual experiences and new situations. Of course I'd also better have some other days where I can do the usual stuff. If it were a short trip that would be lame too.

Two trips ago, Caitie and I got caught in the most unbelievable downpour in Tomorrowland. We rode the TTA five times in a row watching as people were slogging around in the water literally up to their knees. Even more incredible was how quickly the place DRAINED -- they're obviously prepared for that, but watching it is just incredible.

No kidding? I've never seen anything like that happen, and I usually go during the hurricane season! Must have been a real sight to see!

That's a good place to be. Was the roof enough to shield you from the rain or were you still getting pelted?

It's hard to tell. We were in Space Mountain when it started. After about 45 minutes of the arcade and all we could take of the kids in there, we bolted for TTA. We got soaked enough - and then the rain REALLY came, flooding Tomorrowland. I remember getting hit some, but at that point it didn't really matter anyway!
It really was incredible - I've never seen rain like that before.

Wow! You could have just gotten on a bus to Typhoon Lagoon -- you were probably already soaked enough! What an interesting story.

I'm seeing reports this morning about flooding in Orlando today. I hope everyone's OK.
