Mexico or Italy?

My best friend is going with us on our next trip and I told her to pick a place in Epcot to eat. She narrowed it down to San Angel Inn and Tutto Italia, with her preference leaning more towards San Angel Inn. I'd love opinions on both! I get to make resssies in 6 days!!! yay

Wow! 6 days! Is that because the ADR system is switching over to 180 days on the 27th?

I picked San Angel Inn. It probably doesn't have better food that Tutto, but it has the whole Disney experience of eating in the pyramid marketplace, sitting by the "river," and enjoying the hustle and bustle of Mexico. I think that's a great experience for anyone visiting WDW. Tutto is more of a standard restaurant... kinda boring...

I voted for Italy primarily because I've never eaten there. I love the atmosphere in San Angel, but the food I was lukewarm on.

YES! It is back to 180 days! clapping
I am not 'big' on Mexican food but I am kinda leaning towards Mexico too, because of the atmosphere.

Agreed, but the atmosphere is tough to beat! Plus, San Angel is less expensive than Tutto from what I hear.

And you can get a margarita at the new tequila bar while you're waiting for your table!

I picked San Angel Inn...but only because we have eaten there. Dont know about Tutto's. Only problem I had with the San Angel was it was very crowded the night we were there and the waitstaff seemed a little harried. Our waiter made the best of it...despite the nasty lady and her family at the table next to us.

The food? I love Mexican and it was very good!

I think service is one of the biggest problems there, otherwise it's a good meal and I highly recommend it mickey

By nasty lady, I meant very demanding...kind of like she thought she was the only one in there and deserved all the waitstaffs attention. Her son could not look at her and I am sure that by the time they left, her husband had to be picked up off the floor because every time she would make a demand, he slipped lower in his seat...

Think I mentioned this elsewhere, but it seemed to me they were trying to stuff as many people into the restaurant as possible. I hate for my elbow to hit the person at the table next to me when I eat, but that is certainly the way it felt.

And the tequila bar wasnt open...I dont think...when we were there. Now I know I gotta go back!

I hate when that happens. Especially when they seat a bunch of tables along one wall that all share the same banquette...yuck. yuck

People like that suck! How rude!
I don't like being so close to others when eating either...oh well, take the good with the bad, huh?

I really like the Mexican restaurant - the atmosphere is great!

I have heard not so good things about Tutto Italia -mostly that it is comparable to an Olive Garden and WAY more expensive

Mmmmm....I like Olive Garden. Although I'd get sort of upset if it were passed off as "authentic Italian food." silly
