So I've seen some people make a big fuss about this parade. Does it qualify as "must do"? I've somehow managed to miss it every time I've gone so far...

Like all disney parades (in my estimation) it's a do-it-once-then-skip-it-and-ride-stuff attraction.
It's really not that great a parade; if you can only do one or two, choose the magic kingdom parades (day and night).

I actually really love this parade. I think it's much more intimate than the other parades in that it just seems closer to the view than the other ones. Plus, the puppets just seem larger than life and so exotic.
We always try to catch this parade when we can.

I would rate SpectroMagic as the #1 parade at WDW. Still, Mickey's JJP is still a lot of fun. If you had the chance to see Tapestry of Nations/Dreams when it was going on at Epcot many years ago, you'll see almost a similar "puppetry" being done here. So there's a lot more details and intricate visual presentation than most parade.
I have a video of it if anyone wishes to see it.

I never did get to see Tapestry of Nations/Dreams. I was there twice waiting for it when it got "winded" out! I bet it was lovely...

I wonder if anyone disagrees that Spectromagic is #1?
Not me!
I dunno. There's something about that Dreams Come True Parade that just makes you feel like you're in Disney World. I think if I could only see one parade, I'd pick the 3:00 Magic Kingdom parade. It's the classic.

I think the Halloween parade is really good too.
