Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

I thought I'd raised a topic on this yesterday, so forgive me if it was - I just can't remember where I raised it!!

So, I'm flying out to the Sunshine State on Sunday and will be there from early evening. The first day I'm likely to be at the parks will be Monday and this coincides with Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in the evening. My question is this:

Is the extra amount for staying in the park till midnight worth paying...and what are the additional things like - I understand there'll be snow on Main Street and Tomorrowland turns into Santa's playground (of sorts) and there'll be a Frozen themed firework display.

I missed the Halloween Party last year so didn't get to experience this, so have no baseline for these additional experiences (other than Universal's Horror Night and that was a bit different)

To me, its worth it just for the parade and fireworks alone. There's also the Xmas themed shows, dance parties, characters in their holiday garb, etc.

I've been twice and loved it. You also get free hot chocolate and cookies at various places around the park awesome

I would happily trade for the Elsa 2014 Xmas party card. They are free with admission to the party. I have 2014 Halloween, 2013 Halloween and Xmas, and 2012 Halloween and Xmas cards to trade as well as a few lightening bolt cards.

There are things like the free hot choc and cookies that are so much fun. There are typically smaller crowds so the lines are smaller. It is overwhelming how impressive the special fireworks are. There are debates as to wether the Halloween or Christmas party are better, but little debate that either are worth it. If you on the fence give it a go.

We've gone and absolutely think it is worth it, for the reasons others have already stated.

I know this is going to sound horrible but my Husband and I hated the Christmas Party. We went A LONG TIME AGO maybe 10 years ago? It was so crowded and so hectic we turned around and got back on the Monorail and left. For us it was too many people crammed on Main Street USA. Being short all I saw were backs and butts and not even Mickey's Butt.

After Halloween disney can take my money any time I'm there and there's a special event. In fact make Star Wars weekend bigber and better and I'll pay to go to that. I love a hard ticket event.... But we don't have a family to pay for.
