We got our tickets for the first night of MNSSHP - September 1st! So excited as we have never been. Now we just have to figure out of we will wear costumes or not.

I am so excited because we just found out today my husband's vacation was approved and we will be going to WDW for Thanksgiving again this year.
The best part is the Sunday after Thanksgiving, they have a MVMCP and WE'RE GOING
It's our first every Christmas party and I am soooo excited I can't wait!
Awesome!

That's awesome, Annie!! I loved the Christmas party last year! Benn was too sick to really enjoy it, so I guess we'll HAVE to go again sometime...what a shame.
Be good at something. It makes you valuable. Have something to bring to the table because that will make you more welcome. --Randy Pausch

We'll definitely be going to WDW in October, but not the 18th or 19th because my husband is on call that weekend. It will probably have to be the weekend before or the weekend after. Is that when you're going to WDW? I see your countdown, but I didn't do the math

I went to that same party date last year. It was awesome!

disneydoc, I've been obsessively reading articles today about Thanksgiving in WDW. Many of them mention how the first MVMCP party right after Thanksgiving day is SO crowded, it's hard to move or enjoy yourself. Did you find that to be the case? Was it extremely crowded? Were you able to meet the characters and see the shows? My OCD is kicking in big time about this Christmas party I'd appreciate any info or tips!
My DH shouldn't have a problem seeing the shows because he's 6'5 or 6'6 with his shoes on, I'm about 5'3 with my shoes on, so I don't get as good a view

You guys are going to have a GREAT time! Make sure to catch Hallowishes, the parade, and the stage show. I'm normally not that into parades or fireworks but these can't be missed! We're probably going to skip the party this year as it wasn't in the budget since I didn't realize that they would be having one so early this year.

Thanks for the info Allie. I was also surprised about the early date since last year the first night was September 10th. I'll like to go at least once, so this is a perfect opportunity.
I think I've decided I'm going to be (or at the very least Disneybound as) Vanellope Von Schweetz for the party!! I have things that resemble her outfit already, so I just have to figure out how to do the candy in my hair and get mint-colored candy cane striped leggings/socks.
Cute!

Definitely wear a costume, especially if you're going to meet any characters, as they'll often play off it. Even if it's something cheap and simple, you can have a lot of fun. I bought a white eyemask and a hat from Halloween Adventure (total cost- about $25), to go as a 1940s mystery man type hero, and it was fun. Rapunzel reached up and peeked under. "Do you have a face under there?"
