This is kind of a two parter, and I understand that there are now 4 parks, and multiple ways to get to each...but I still think it's a fun question to think about, and brings up fun memories (for me at least.)
1. Which did you take the very first time you went to MK - Ferry or Monorail? (Or have you always taken a resort shuttlebus?)
2. Which do you prefer and why?
So, here's the backstory. As I've said, we've always been more daytrippers to Disney. We'd come for a beach vacation and come to WDW for the day, and I've had passes since I moved back to Orlando in 2004. So ferry v. monorail comes up every trip. The first time we went to MK in 1978, we opted for the ferry. I was a little scared of the monorail to be honest - how in the world did it stay up there?
Today, it's 6 and 1/2 dozen the other - if we're not in a hurry, we'll take the ferry, or if DD really wants to ride the train, we'll take the monorail. I guess I slightly prefer the monorail for speed (I don't care what they say - it's faster) but I think they both have their charms.
Just wondered if the rest of you have fun memories associated with unique WDW transportation.
