Monorail Service at MK during March

Just saw this over at allears.net

3/2/12 Monorail Service Disruption

Magic Kingdom Monorail: Beginning March 2, the monorail service on the Magic Kingdom Resort and Express routes will be temporarily suspended between 11:30am and 6:00pm. Extra buses and watercraft will be available for transportation. Planned maintenance will be performed during this time. Monorails will continue to operate normally for Extra Magic Hours. The Epcot Monorail will operate normally. This work should be completed by the end of March.

I was really surprised that they're doing this during the middle of the day. But maybe it's that way so they don't disrupt sleep for hotel guests? I think I heard it's work they're doing on the GF expansion.

I was thinking the same too... but your probably right about not waking anyone up.

I'm just curious how they can work on it and then have it running on the same day..You would think if they were doing work on it it wouldn't be something that would still be functioning.
