That really surprises me for some reason. Maybe because my son is Toy Story obsessed and we were buying SO much for the movie, but not so much for Cars 2.

This surprises me as well. Neither one of our kids likes Cars at all. And out of all of my friends... only one couple and their kids like Cars. So this surprises me a lot. Our daughter has gotten so much Toy Story stuff in the past 8 months... its just nuts!

I'm surprised too. I watched Cars on Sunday for the first time. It was alright. My favorite part was at the end during the credits when the cars were are the drive-in watching the cars version of Toy Story.
I like Toy Story so much better. I took the day of from work so I could see Toy Story 3 on opening day.
well the article said that it would be bigger than TS3 merchandise.. which, even though it was huge, was only 1 of the movies.
Also, here at the stores, we definitely saw more merch with Cars 2 than TS3.. just each individual style of car alone was about 30 different styles!

Ok that makes more sense..I get that.
Am I bad that I had to buy DS some sippy cups today and purposely chose the TS3 version over the Cars version? Perhaps that will be the purchase that puts TS3 over the top.

Nope. But you are funny
I seriously loved Cars. I thought it was terrific, especially all the cool cameos, and Paul Newman playing the wise old car. Maybe it's because I come from a line of car-happy people.
So - Bella, are you going on a TS3 spending spree this weekend? Will anyone else find themselves reaching for non-Cars merchandise after this article?

why yes I am.
Actually, this is weird but yesterday I realized my kid has a lack of Mickey Mouse happening in his life. We dont have cable so we dont watch MMcH and he doesnt have any Mickey books or toys...I need to get on that! He does have a bit of Toy Story stuff because I just love Toy Story so much.
I'm the same way, I buy by stuff TS stuff over Cars. Which is hard because Cars is EVERYWHERE right now! Although he's big into Phineas and Ferb now and I can't find much at all!
