"must have" souvenirs

Does anyone have any souvenirs that they just "must have" each time they visit Disney?

I must have a new charm each visit. I love the charms that they sell to make charm bracelets but I put them on the zippers of the purses that I take to Disney. Each purse has about 10 charms, and I have 4 different purses that I take, it all depends on what matches my outfits stars

I also must have a penny each trip. Oh how I love those penny machines. It is my Disney mission to someday have one of every penny, from every machine, in every park laugh

I just started but for me, it's going to be a purse and a coffee cup! I loved all of them!

I get a new coffee mug every time I go and I also wind up with something between a bunch and a boatload of new pins, I don't trade them I just collect those that remind us of our trip, wether it be resorts, rides, or any other special memories.

I have been fighting the urge to start collecting the pins. I am afraid once I start, I won't stop until I have a house full of Disney pins eek

My first few visits I collected all the maps too but once I used them to scrapbook I couldn't figure out what to do w/ all the rest of them silly

I'm a huge pin collector, but I have so many now (around 1500) that I don't buy very many anymore. SO while I spent a small fortune to amass my collection, my souvenirs are now largely "free". Unfortunately, most of what you can trade for on cast lanyards anymore are scrappers, but I did hear that they are starting to crack down on individuals importing large numbers of pins directly from China for resale on ebay, so hopefully that will keep Disney from abandoning pin trading in the parks. (Spook, where are you located? I'm in south central PA near the Maryland line. Are you close enough to get together for trading? I've got some other friends locally who trade as well.)

I also try to buy a knock-off "pandora" charm (I forget what the brand is called and frankly, I don't care) on each trip.

Lastly, I take about 200 photos per day and fight my post-Disney depression by working on creating my custom photo book in iphoto when we get home.

If I start collecting pins, I'm sure I'd end up with that many too. That's why I'm trying not to start. laugh

As far as the charms, I get the $4.99 charms that they sell in the girls section at the Emporium in MK. If I had as many Pandora charms, as I do the $4.99 charms, I'd need a second job just to pay for charms biggrin

And photos!!! We have about 3000 photos, probably more, from the past 5 years of being pass holders. I am a photo fanatic and we are lucky enough to go to Disney about 30-40 days each year. So that's A LOT of photos!!!!

I'm in Ontario Canada so not close enough lol. Thank you though!

I ended up taking 2,346 photos on our trip! Yes...yes, I did. I always take tons and many are the same shot 4-5 times because I learned that if I take one, and it's blurry, then I missed it. Of course I also found out I stink at taking pictures on dark rides that move! I'm going to have to end up deleting probably 500 pictures because they are just blurs.

I have a Pandora bracelet that is almost full that I have been collecting on for a couple of years. Hubs bought me the "official" Disney one before we left with one charm. I bought 3 more while we were there. They are cheaper than Pandora, but still not cheap. I did see all the $4.99 ones, and if he hadn't bought me the other already, I would have bought those. They were all so adorable and a bigger selection.

I started picking up Christmas ornaments for myself and my kids. I have already amassed several t-shirts, hoodies, etc, but love to look (and usually end up buying at least one - but often at the outlet store). I also like mugs, but do have a nice collection. However, I can be tempted with holiday ones, like the recent Halloween one.

I am on a mission for a Mickey and Minnie pilgrim duo. I have the salt and pepper set, but cannot believe that they do not have plush costumed for Thanksgiving. I even asked in the park last year on my Thanksgiving week trip and the CMs said they too were surprised at no pilgrim Mickey. They have had them in the past.

I get 1 vinylmation at the time of booking our vacation and keep it by me desk to remind me on a rough day what I'm working for. Once there I get something for the kitchen, this trip was an air tight crock to put my sour dough starter in and mickey and Minnie salt and pepper shakers both thanksgiving and christmas.

We buy Christmas items each visit...it's not a collection of one thing, but more like any random Christmas decor/ornaments/etc. Can't wait to post Christmas decor pics of mickey on the forum this year!

I am not really a collector. I am getting to the point in my life that I need to downsize, however I do like my Disney mugs. I have my Tinkerbell mug and I use my resort mug everyday at work to help with the Disney blues, which I am suffering terribly.

I have a collection of the refillable mugs from the resorts and parks. I know the parks don't have refillable mugs but it's the same type of mug. I have a small collection of pins and I am interested in vinylmations as well. I like getting toys as well. I also get the bonus pack for Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom as often as possible as well. That's really all I get.

Ears! I like the ones on the headband. My mother wears them to work on special occasions, so I buy them and wear them at the park, then she wears them at work. It's a good arrangement!!

Can't wait to get some Christmas ears tomorrow!!

Ah yes shot glasses. My fiance collects those so I'm sure we are going to be collecting quite a few of those.

I'm surprised how many people collect mugs. I always pass them up because I don't want to carry them around and I forget about them by the time we are leaving the parks.
On our Christmas trip, I think I'll finally get that Jack Skellington mug I've been wanting clapping

VelcroPooh

I didn't want to lug them either, so I took advantage of having them sent to our resort. I made sure I bought them two days before we left, so they would deliver them.

I always come home with extra mickey krispie treats and a new ball topper for my car. I frequently come home with pins, purses, and a something with Duffy or Orange Bird on it.

I am a bit obsessed with collecting shot glasses. I have one from anywhere I have vacationed. I really want to get one from each of the rides that has them, but on our last trip I settled with a Magic Kingdom castle one. Now maybe on our next trip I can pick up a few more......would LOVE a Rock N Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror one.

I'm actually not big on souvenirs. I usually get something during the course of the trip, but there's no one thing that I must get each and every time I visit. Memories and photographs are the best souvenirs ever.

For me, it's got to be some sort of hat, a T-shirt, autograph book (I never told this to good people on this site but I actually have three autograph books. Surprising yes, but each one possesses so many memories for me!)

I always get a new shirt of some sort while I'm there. Last time I got a Dumbo shirt. And a stuffed Dumbo. And a Mrs. Jumbo and Dumbo set. That shop near Storybook Circus is designed to eat my money.

Every time a new Dumbo comes out, I have to get it. I collect them. Laughing out loud
