Is MVMCP Worth It ...

... For a gal going solo? So, extra long story short, I might be headed to the World in December for my birthday. I picked a four day stretch to be there and it just so happens that on the day that I want to be in MK, there is MVMCP happening. Is it worth it to go alone? The ticket price isn't what I'm worried about, I guess I am super curious about just how magical it'll be. If I get approved the time off I promise to make a very long, boring, drawn out post about the millions of other questions I have for a solo trip to the World. But this is the only thing I'm super curious about right now. Any insight or tips is welcome as always!

I would absolutely go alone! I spent a lot of the party alone last year. DH wasn't feeling well but he didn't want to leave, so he offered to be the placeholder for character photos and told me to run around the party and have a good time! Other than feeling sad that he was missing out on stuff, I had a great time!

We love the party and could see it still invoking magic to a solo visitor. The special shows, parades, snacks and fireworks are all fun. We also try and do rides between everything. If your remotely interested I would say go for it.

I say do it. It's fun regardless whether you're solo or not. Is it truly worth it, that's totally up you & your budget.

My biggest problem with MVMCP was that, after a day of touring the parks, my travelling companions were tired, sore, and cranky and just wanted to go back to our resort, while I wanted to enjoy the party. We compromised; they spent most of their time sitting on a bench while I wandered around, and we left around 10:00. (We were staying off site and just had one car, so splitting up was not an option.) So heck yes, I'd go alone and have all the fun I missed last time.

I went solo a couple of years ago. I loved it. I would do it again. The only thing I would do differently is not going on my arrival day. It made for a very long day.

If going solo is the only thing you're concerned about, I would absolutely do it if you're willing to spend the money.

I've never done it (will probably never be able to unless something major happens in my life), but I would like to do it once. Though while for me I love Christmas a bazillion times more than Halloween, I'm not sure it seems as "worth it" money-wise as the Halloween party.

Awesome! Thank you all so much for your replies! I'll be adding it to my itinerary. I thought maybe it would be awkward for me to be alone there but I'm usually that weird girl dancing alone at parties anyways!

Mrs_JS I am looking forward to going solo next year. I haven't decided whether I am going during MNSSHP or MVMCP either way I am going alone.

You don't have to dance alone. Stitch and a few shake their groove thing by the people mover ramp. Have loads of fun.

Planning on going on my next trip and can't wait. Though I'l be with family I wouldn't hesitate going it alone, honestly, I don't think it's possible to feel alone in Disney, I'm always finding myself talking to other guests or CMs!
