My 250-Day Countdown Calendar!

My 250-Day Countdown Calendar!

I was inspired by Jo and her amazing countdown calendar and just had to make one! It really offsets my depression over not going in September.

And like all things I start, it kinda snowballed into a little more than I had planned...but that's good! So here it is:

250 days starts tomorrow (Saturday). Here's a close-up of the first few weeks:

At the bottom of each page I added pictures from previous trips, just for fun:

For the daily marker, I am going to use a small Goofy pin - seems appropriate. And to mark off the dates, what else - my Disney stamps!

I know, shocking...I have a Disney stamp kit!

The fun will now be that I will add to this regularly - I have a nice supply of stickers and scrapbook leftovers that will find their way onto this. Lord only knows what it will look like by April!

Now you see why Joe has concerns.... laugh

Okay Jeff, thats it! It's on! Now that Mark has a whole week off yet he had better come up with something really cool like this for our 50 day countdown. He can add this as well as my pin "something" to his to do list while he is waiting to go back to work. Dont worry, he needs something to do. He called me at work at 1:30 this afternoon to tell me he was bored lol.

Sorry guys. As soon as I posted this I realized Mark must have been logged in on my Ipad. I did not realize he had been on it today so I did not check to see which of us was logged on. So this post should have been mine not his.

Darn, also forgot to mention just how cool that is Jeff!

Jeff, I started my countdown at 188 days and let me tell you, my co-workers (yes I have it posted in my office at work) thought I was nuts because 188 days seemed depressing to them, but every week that I crossed off got me closer and closer. Now I'm down to 54 days!

Every day I wake up I think to myself "one day closer to Disney". It doesn't matter if I have a trip planned or not, it's always one day closer and that's a happy thing!

I'm planning on posting a copy of mine at work. One of my co-workers was on vacation last week and one of the first things he asked me yesterday when he got back was "how many days until your Disney trip?".

Update time! Now at 180 days! Here's what the countdown calendar looks like:

We used the Goofy stamp for the first section, and are using Minnie for the second.

The Goofy pin has been the perfect marker.

Hey Jeff remember when you first posted this and there were 250 days to go. Well Looky Looky you are down to 8 days are you packed yet. You can do the proverbial "Single Digit Dance" 8 Days heck I'll bet you can do that standing on your head in a broom clolset. Did you ever think you would get to this mark.
