Day 4 - Continued

Well after went back to the room to get cleaned up and dried off since it was showering off and on, then we headed to HS for dinner at the Brown Derby. We walked threw some shops and looked around, then figured we would try the ToT , it was only a 20 minute wait, which turned into about a 5 minute wait, only because of the movie you have to watch first, went right down and got on the elevator! 5 times up & down, yeeeeehaaaaaa!.

got off, had a smoke, and I got Scrappy to go right back on. 5 more times up & down! clapping yay Yaaaaaaaahooooooooooooooo!
by then scrappy had enough, no more.

Well we mosied over to the Brown Derby and they took us right away, 15 minutes early.
I had the Spicy Tuna Tartar with a wasabi cream which was delicious, and scrappy had salad.

We both had the filet, her med well, mine med. Both awesome!

Dessert's were Chocolate three ways

and Warm seasonal fruit cobbler with fresh creme!

Oh yeah, there were a couple of Hollywood's & Manhattans thrown in there too!
That was the end to another great day, since it was 8:30pm and the park closed at 7pm. So back to our resort we went. Sat on the balcony, watched the sunset, listened to the sound of Polynesian music wafting through the air and waited for the fireworks to start over the Magic Kingdom. awesome

I really like the Grapefruit Cake at the Brown Derby but I think I can be convinced to try the Chocolate Three Ways when I'm there in November.

Day 5 - Thursday

Keys to the Kingdom Tour - yay

This is Janson, he was our guide. Janson really loves what he does!

He was very outgoing and never let things get dull. Alot of the stuff he told us was very interesting and other stuff we already knew just from bing Disney fans, but I won't let anything out of the bag , just incase other people want to go on the tour, warning though, its alot of walking, and by the time we were done, we were ready to be done!. Oh yeah, one thing I will tell you: "Disney does "NOT" grow mutant size turkey's on a secret turkey farm to get the turkey legs that they sell in the parks!" and neither myself nor scrappy asked that question, it was someone else on the tour that I felt like smacking in the back of the head just for asking the question!.

We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour back in October, and absolutely loved it! I'm happy to hear you had a good time as well =)

Thanks arbolita, we did have a great time. And yes bella, that was a "Get real" moment!

Okay back to the report!

Liberty Tree!

At one point they had to graft a new trunck to this tree to keep it alive from what we were told. The stories you see on the internet are different then what we were told, but I'll keep that to myself for those that may do the tour!

We finished the tour and decided to go do some rides in Tomarrow Land and hit COP first, came out to this:

Cooled the rest of the day off nice! We got on the People Mover, and then started to head out of the park and back to the Poly to get cleaned up and change clothes for dinner at Narcoossee's.

After dinner we took a nice leisurely ride back to the poly to enjoy a night at the resort.

The sunsets were magnificent all week long!

and we ended another perfect day by watching the fireworks from our balcony!

Friday - Last day sad :

Friday we got up and headed to oue ADR at Tusker House in the AK.

Saw this poor guy on the way in, got his bill caught under a bus tire, LOL!

Got a picture with the "Big Cheese"

& Daisy

Then after breakfast we headed to my favorite ride Expedition Everest!. Now I always try to get scrappy to go on this and she never would, but for some reason she had been mentioning that she may have to try it. Well we got there and it was only 15 minutes wait so I wanted to get right on. I would have gone on the single rider side, both scrappy wanted 5 minute to talk herself into doing it, and as soon as she built up the nerve, we were in.

I think she really liked it! awesome I was very proud of her.

We we did several other rides, dino, went in Tough to be a Bug!, and then finished up with some shopping and headed out.

Went back to the resort for a while to get ready for our dinner at the Flying Fish.

This was an amazing meal and the restaurant is pretty cool.

Scrappy started with a salad and I of course had the sushi!

Our main dishes were filet for scrappy (she's a meat and potatoes girl) and I had the potatoe crusted snapper.

Desserts were

and then they brought out a 3rd dessert complements of the chief

Mrhub, first of all I hope you called 911 to get first aid for that poor bird laugh. Also wifey said she is very jealous of that picture of Scrappy with Daisy Duck, (it's her very favorite character). I will have to agree about Flying Fish, it does rate VERY high on our favorites list, especially if we can score a place at the bar just to the left as you walk in the rest. They must have changed the menu somewhat because the last time we went they had no filets listed on the menu only NY strip steaks, the filet would have made the meal even that much better in my opinion. Great trip report, so far, hope there is more to come. wink
