My Disney Itinerary!

Yesterday, I booked our ADRs (Advanced Dining Reservations) for our
Disney trip! I am so freaking excited. Barring any unforeseen problems,
this trip WILL be better than the last trip - I will make sure of that!

So, here you'll find a rough draft of our itinerary - please feel free to give any suggestions!

Wednesday, April 29th

Check in at the Polynesian Resort - mid afternoon
Check out Downtown Disney to shop a bit and get a bite to eat
Eat at either Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express
Check out Ghirardelli's for ice cream!
Back to the resort
Check out Wishes fireworks from beach at our resort?

Thursday, April 30th

Visit Animal Kingdom - get there when it opens
Lunch at Flame Tree BBQ
Back to resort mid afternoon to relax and freshen up
Dinner at Kona Cafe (5:30 pm)
No evening plans - maybe see Illuminations fireworks at Epcot if everyone is up for it

Friday, May 1st
Visit Magic Kingdom
Character breakfast (Tigger and Pooh and friends) at The Crystal Palace (8:25 am) we're there before the park opens!
Late lunch at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland
Back to resort to relax and freshen up
Grab dinner at Captain Cook's and enjoy the resort grounds!
Get ready to board a boat from our resort for a Wishes Cruise - we are all super excited for this!

Saturday, May 2nd

Visit Hollywood Studios - arrive when it opens
Lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater (12:50 pm)
No evening commitments - stay at HS or back to Poly - depends on kids' moods!

Sunday, May 3rd

Character breakfast (Lilo and Stitch) at Ohana's (8:20 am)
Free late morning/early afternoon
Head to Epcot around 3 pm
Dinner at Coral Reef (5:30 pm)
Finish out the evening at the park, maybe see the fireworks?

Monday, May 4th
Sleep in? (hahaha)
Lunch at Teppan Edo in Epcot - Japan (12 noon)
Hang out in park? Go back to resort?
Character dinner (Cinderella, Prince Charming) at 1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian
No evening plans - maybe go to MK to watch Wishes fireworks

Tuesday, May 5th

Breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe - Wilderness Lodge (9:05 am)
Free day - go anywhere we want to see things we may have missed
Character dinner (Mickey Mouse and Pals) at Chef Mickey's (8:05 pm)
See if we can catch any fireworks - maybe from the beach at our resort?

Wednesday, May 6th

Return home - try not to cry

I
thought eating at chef Mickey's last would be a great way to wrap up
the trip! I hope I have enough down time scheduled! Next I am going to
be going over the parks and mapping out rides and attractions we
definitely need to see/experience!

Wooooo hoooooo!

Congratulations on the Wishes cruise! That will be SO much fun. I haven't ever taken one, so I can't wait to hear your report.

And thanks for linking to all the stuff you're doing--it was cool to look at the restaurants.

So, you're still leaning toward Earl of Sandwich. Is someone challenging you in favor of Wolfgang Puck?

Yes, be sure to get some good pics from the Wishes cruise! I'm sure this one will be better than last time, though I'd still expect some cranky kids!

I took that info right out of my blog, which is why there are links, LOL laugh

No one has challenged me about anything yet - hahhaa. I think we'll just see how everyone feels (especially the kids) when we're in DTD and decide on the spot where to eat.

Oh, I wish I could get a 'grown up' Disney trip laugh
As long as everything is well with my MIL, I fully expect a better trip this time!

Well, I'm working on that and totally bummed Wishes is not every night. Even though we have the cruise planned - since we're staying at the Poly it's nice to just head to the beach and watch the show muchlove

I have yet to stay at a Monorail resort. I'm so jealous!

I've stayed at WL but it's not the same. We kept driving over to the Poly to take the Monorail, as opposed to waiting for the boat.

I stayed at the Poly in 1997 - it was my honeymoon (which sucked and I am no longer married to that tool)
When I went back in 2008 with my family, we decided to stay at a monorail resort because of my grandma and the kids - we figured it'd be easier to get places using the monorail vs buses and I am so glad we did!
I wanted to try a different resort but I felt the GF was too ritzy - especially for the kids. The Contemporary was undergoing construction (is it still?) and so we wound up back at the Poly.
I fell in love all over again with the Poly muchlove
I think as long as we vacation there with young kids, we'll stay there. I would love to stay at the Yacht/Beach Club and the Boardwalk sometime though.

I keep seeing a lot of comments about people wanting to stay at a monorail resort. Maybe sometime in the future we can set up a WDWForGrownups "Board Meeting" and get a group rate at one of them.

We could probably get a reduced rate with 15 or so rooms.

Just a thought.

That sounds like a ton of fun! I shudder to think about the debate as to WHICH resort will use.

Which will rank right up there as to what DATE we would all meet up!

Guess we could announce the "Board Meeting" and invite anyone and everyone who wants to attend.

Although I may have an event at WDW in the spring of 2010 where I could piggyback it. Time will tell.
