I thought I would post a quick-one post-recap trip report for my parents' trip!
Who: Mom (56), Dad (62), Brother (29), and a couple my parents' are friends with. (A little older than my mom and dad) This was also a first visit for the couple tagging along.
When: September 7th - 13th
Where: Coronado Springs, standard room
ADR's: Kona Cafe (Dinner), Teppan Edo, Garden Grill, Via Napoli, 50's Prime Time
My parents' loved the resort. They have now vacationed at every moderate and claim to love this one the best. They stated the resort feels much like a deluxe, but without the price tag. My mom loved the sliding doors that separate the bathroom area from the bedroom. They did state the actual resort seemed full and almost every bus they rode was standing room only, to/from parks. They said this will be their "go-to" moderate.
ADR's were a hit and miss. The worst meal was Kona Cafe. It was loud and the food was just mediocre. We had such a great breakfast there last year, so this was disappointing to hear. They were able to watch wishes from the Poly beach and had excellent seats. The best restaurant was Teppan Edo. They raved about this restaurant. They stated the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was incredible. Via Napoli was a disappointment. It was not as great as Tutto Italia and my mom said it was extremely loud inside. Their lasagna was just "okay". Garden Grill was a hit and the characters were wonderful. The food was great and it was a wonderful experience overall. 50's Prime Time food is always great, but their server was pretty bad. He did not play along well. They also had reservations at 7:00PM and arrived at 6:50PM. They were not seated until 7:50PM and they missed Fantasmic. That was a bummer. They also said this was the last trip they would make ADR's because it messed up their evening and felt rushed. I just told them they did not plan well.
Of course they visited all parks and thoroughly enjoyed it. The parks were not empty, but not crowded like last August either. They all had a great time and are looking forward to the next trip!
