Mythos Restaurant

Has anyone been? Is it worth the money/time away from WDW? I've heard great things, and it's been winning theme park food awards, but I'm just not sure we should give up a WDW meal for it.

I keep asking people if they've tried it and they always say "no." Universal needs to do some marketing I think, given that it's supposedly so good.

I've never even heard of it..so I googled it! It looks wonderful..but I don't think I'd drive all the way to Universal just for it.
If we ever make it to Universal I think we'll be stuck in Harry Potterville.

It is pretty well hidden, so well hidden in fact that I can't remember exactly where in the park it is.

I remember walking past it on my last Universal trip, but I had no idea what it was! I think I'd make a trip over to try it.

It's over by that big show-ride thing where you go into the water tunnel. What's that thing called?

Thanks, all. Speaking of Posiedon's Fury, what a bad attraction!

We've eaten there twice, the last time was 2 years ago though. I really liked it and would recommend it. I thought the food was very good, and the service was just as good.

Thanks for the review, Jeff. What kind of food is it? Is there a theme to the menu, or is it just standard steak/pasta/chicken/veggie?

In theory, it's supposed to be Greek-inspired, I believe. But I think that's a stretch - and it probably was genercized to make it more appealing to as many people as possible.

When we were there, it really was chicken, burgers, pizza and salads. I had a hamburger one time, and a steak sandwich the other.

I recall really liking the french fries. We were there for lunch both times, and it was never crowded. This was in the early May time-frame, and we probably hit the place a little earlier than the usual lunch crowd.

If you are looking for a good, cool place to sit down for a spell, this is a great option in my opinion.

Was it good enough that you'd go out of your way to visit it? Or just good enough that if you're in Universal anyway you would eat there?

The latter - I wouldn't go out of my way, but if I am there, it would be my very first choice.

Good to know. I always think I should go check it out given the reviews. I also think the next time I'm in Universal that HP will be getting my dining dollar.
