new room discount

I am doing my happy dance. yeah

Disney just announced a room discount for the fall, and it includes the days that were blacked out for the free dining. We just got a credit for $259 for the room portion of our package. And, they waived the $50 fee for changes, since our 45 day payment deadline was only this past Saturday. yay yay yay yay

Do you have the free dining also or is it one or the other.

Nicole - you should be OK to get this too - you are going only a couple of days sooner than we are.

Call Disney at 407-939-7675, and tell them you'd like to add the new room discount to your reservation. They will either put a credit on your reservation, great for charging back meals, etc., since you've already got the money paid. Or, they will issue a credit on your credit card, if that's how you paid for your package. It's only for the room portion of the reservation, not the tickets though.

No, we were blacked out for the free dining, so getting the room discount is great!

Yes, it was posted under special offers. I have been checking every day, hoping that a discount would be announced that would apply to us.

Will that mess up any dining reservations that I've already made? Dont they have to pretty much cancel your reservations and rebook you with the new rates? I'm sorry for asking silly questions but this is the first time I've ever booked any kind of trip and I'm scared I'm going to mess it all up lol

Depending on the type of package you have booked, they may or may not change your reservation number. It will not mess up any of your dining plans though. You will not need to change them regardless. You can only have one discount though. If you have the free dining you can not get this one. If you do not have a discount right now I would call and see what they tell you. You just may end up saving some $$$.

You can see how much you will save by playing around on Disneys website. Just punch in your info and see what prices come up. I just did that for our November trip. It would actually end up costing us more but it was worth the time to see.

No - they didn't change my reservation number. All dining reservations are intact, etc. They just change the amount owing from zero (paid up) to a negative amount=credit! They will e-mail you a confirmation immediately, and you can check the reservation online too, to make sure nothing got screwed up.

Wow! I would try too, but we booked through Group Travel so our discount was already pretty good, and from what I understand you can't do a discount on top of another discount. So happy for you guys/gals though!

Great news for all of you!!!

They released the Passholders discount today for late fall. That will not save us any more either though sad . OH well, I guess that just means we got a pretty good deal to start with.
