New Tax In The Bahamas

I was reading the Disney Cruise Line Blog earlier today (because I'm REALLY) excited about my up-coming Disney Cruise and I saw this lovely piece of New Year Cheer.

Apparently beginning January 1st the Bahamian Government will be levying a new tax on most goods and services to be purchased while on shore. Which means that purchases from Nassau and Castaway Cay will now cost 7.5% more. Happy New Year cruisers!
