Nexus 7 & Galaxy Tab 2

Ok... I have enjoyed having my iPad 3 in my car... but I would LOVE something smaller in the 7inch range. The new iPad Mini to me costs too much for having the same specs as an iPad 2, so im not willing to pay that price... let alone... to get GPS you need to get it with a data chip. Both the Nexus and Galaxy have GPS in it and start at $200 which is perfect in price to me at least. They both have Spotify on it which is how I listen to music, both Bluetooth enabled. The Nexus at first was able to go into Landscape mode on the homescreen which was an immediate loss for me... but it has since been enabled, so its back in the race again.

So my question is... anyone here have one of these devices? How ya like it?

2nd attempt at replying to this post........

I was originally logged in, looking through the forum and typed a reply to your post on an MS Surface unit. I'm doing a bit of testing on the unit to see if it's a viable product to add to our IT fleet for our users. Anyway, I was just saying that the expandable memory slot(Micro SD) was a good idea and so is the USB slot for memory sticks and HDD's, these are things that the iPad could really use. The Win8/RT OS isn't as easy to 'just pick up and use' and it's not as straight forward as Apples iOS. BUT THEN........ one slip on the units keyboard and it was all gone, BOOM!!!! It shifted the explorer page and wiped the whole thing out. I've had a quick try of a Galaxy as well and again I would say it's ok, but having had an iPad since it was launched, I couldn't change to any of these type of units.

Also I having just bought another iPad(with the Retina screen) last week, I'm definitely sticking with the Apple as my mobile device.

I have a 7" Dell streak (discontinued after purchase), and Scrappy has the Ipad. Two totally different worlds! stick with the Ipad. I also know people that have other tablets, they still like our Ipad better and ours is the original Ipad.

Don't get me wrong... I have two iPads already. The original and the 3. Love em both. But his is for my car to play music mostly. Maybe a bit of plying around. But want GPS in it as well. I have had my iPad 3 in the car but it blocks the vents. Knowing colder weather is coming. Won't be wise to block them. Lol. But a 7 inch would be perfect. I refuse to pay the price for the iPad mini. Has the specs of an iPad 2 and costs more than the 2 and if I want GPS. Have to pay what... $130 sum more?

So I went ahead and bought the Nexus today. So far I love it! My iPad didn't play nice with my Bluetooth stereo in the car I've learned because this nexus sounds amazing in it! So just for that I'm super happy. Right now I'm using it for this post. Typing is taking a bit to get use to but its cool. This will also be easier to carry around Disney than my ipad.
