Have you seen this new editorial blog from Disney? I can't say that I'm fond of it.
Something about it just makes me feel like they're trying too hard to be fun and trendy. It would probably appeal to my girls who spend a lot of time on tumblr. I just can't seem to get into it though.
What do you think about 'Oh My Disney'?

It comes across as trying a bit too hard and missing the mark, like having your Mum join Facebook and posting memes.
The site its trying to emulate works and is popular because it is edgy and can post rude or offensive things, the latest memes, silly photoshops, gossip, virals, new stories and the like.
Disney can't really do that without severely damaging its brand, so it won't attract the market from the site it mimics, which I assume its trying to do?
It seems a little pushy to me. Trying really, really hard to convince you that something is funny, or cute, or interesting. IF something is interesting, funny or cute, I don't need someone to tell me that.
Just......no.

Those were my thoughts too. I understand that they want to capture the spirit of these great Disney Memes that people do and have a grasp on funny viral content. But you just can't force that! If there's one thing that I've learned in my years of blogging and managing online content it's that you can't "bottle" what takes thousands of bloggers countless hours to create. It has got to flow naturally or it doesn't work.
Truthfully at first, I thought someone was spamming a Disney Page! Hummmmm.......................
Yeah, it seemed forced to me too, and I really don't like sites that are laid out like that in the first place (and I see plenty of them, since I'm 21 and many of my peers like them...though I guess I'm secretly a 55-year-old. Fine by me 
).
