I was just reading there's going to be a $115 steak( For 2) and $21 asparagus at the new restaurant, Boatwrights in Disney Springs! I'm not sure if even the serious carnivores in my group will pay that! Will you?
August 2016 here we come!

I would pay anything for asparagus lol. It's my favorite.
Joe and I love a good steak, we would maybe do it once for a special occasion. It better be a damn good one for that!

I think you mean the Boat House, not Boatwrights. Boatwright's is in Disney's Port Orleans Resort.
There's some conjecture that the prices are just placeholders and will not be the same once the restaurant is open. If they are the same, I'm going for the $60 lobster and seafood bake for two.
It sounds to me like another alternative for Yachtsman Steakhouse for people who don't want to travel all the way to Epcot resort area. Downtown Disney/Disney Springs only has two restaurants that are signature dining. They consider Fulton's Crab House and the Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe as signature credits. (Not to be confused with Wolfgang Puck Express, one of the better counter service places in Downtown Disney.) It's another upscale option along with the Morimoto Asian fusion restaurant they previously announced but I would think that there will be plans for more affordable dining restaurants or possibly additional food trucks.
As for the prices, well, they are high but the jury's out on whether or not it's worth the price tag.

And out there living in the sun, give me one day out there, all I ask is one to hold forever. Out there where they all live unaware, what I'd give, what I'd dare, just to live one day out there."

Sorry, I was just in a bit of shock with $21 for asparagus! As for the steak my dh is a total carnivore, and for that much it better be grass fed, organic. He's very picky about his steak and he likes to meet the cow he's eating. No I'm not kidding.

Honestly, when you take into account that this steak house is being run by Chicago steak house gurus Gibson's, the prices aren't bad. Also, having done the steak house thing, I am guessing that is enough asparagus to split between 2-4 people. Sides are for sharing. We just have to wait and see if the quality that should be there, is.

So here's the confirmed menu with its prices.

All I can say is wow, that's a ton of items. They don't offer just steaks, it's more like an upscale steak and seafood joint. Think Flying Fish or Naccoossee's with a very big menu. They have grilled fish, oyster bar, lobster bake, etc. As for the notorious Aspargus-gate, it's 12 dollars instead of 21! Must have been a typo. But check out this dessert. A Smores Baked Alaska for 4 costing 40 bucks. It looks so good yet so ginormous! I think it puts the Kitchen Sink to shame.

Everything there looks good to me, let's eat!

I have a feeling that we'll give it a try at least once, it's mighty pricey but I can see us doing it for a special occasion.
