Online booking vs phone booking

I usually book our vacations online but since we are celebrating i'm wondering if it would be better to make our reservations over the phone. Does anyone know if you book online, is there a place to put if you're celebrating? I read an article on the Disney Food Blog that when you make an ADR online you can add a celebration at the end. The article was from 2010 so i'm wondering if you can still do that? What do you guys prefer when making your reservations, online or phone?

We do all of ours online, and if we have any additions we call over the phone. Online has been pretty reliable for us.

I booked online, but I called for ADR's at out 180 day mark and added celebration then. When I called back another time to get a discount on our hotel, they said "we see you're celebrating a birthday". But I do know that when you do ADR's online, you can add a celebration, since I changed/added ADR's, and saw it there.

I do not think it really matters which way you book. As the others have said you can add celebrations when booking online. I have done both but still really like doing it over the phone best. Most of the cast members are great and I reaaly enjoy talking to them.

For me it depends on our trip and how complicated my reservations are going to be. I don't think I ever just book once and leave it though. It seems to me that I'm always calling back with questions, additions, and changes.

I am one of those "Oldies" that prefers the interaction of a REAL person to talk to and not a machine, so I always call rather than book online. To me it's just a more personal experience.

I've done it both ways, and both work just fine. Talking to a real person is just a bit more magical.

I always book online because usually when I'm doing my planning, its way past the normal call hours. I know for sure you can add a celebration to the ADR online.

We start online and if we have any issues we most always end up talking to an agent on the phone. Especially if I am adding extra activities or what not.

I started booking online, however I had issues trying to book the Fantasmic dinner package so I ended up calling Disney.

Since then I have done all my reservations on the telephone as I enjoy listening to the music while on hold. Laughing out loud

And what was the results when talking to "a real person"?

She was very good, really impressed actually.

If all cast members are that good on the phone I see no reason to use the internet booking system.

She did convince me to buy two tickets for MNSSHP, oops! lol
