Boy that is a nice job mrhub I tend to like the idea of the dark cloth, it seems to make the pins "POP" more. Wifey had an idea to stick all the pins in the shape of a Mickey head. What do you think of that one?

That was definitely something I would have loved to do... but seeing as we live in a condo... I dont have much room to use power tools and such. Could go to my parents and make something like this though... but I love it! That is really cool!

The cool thing about it is... I could do that as well still. Just throw the ones we made into something like that... but I think until we move... were going to keep it simple.... lol

Trust me, we know the feeling about not having much room for him to work. We live in a townhouse too. He did keep most of his tools when we moved in here though. We do have to move the cars out of the garage for him to work and then he of course has to watch what time it is before he goes out there and makes noise.

I love yours just the way the way they are. Mrhub came up with the idea to frame ours because he could not come up with a safe way to do what I really wanted done. I wanted a wall divider of sorts made similar to how he did the frame. I wanted it much taller though and two or three panels wide. I was afraid of our little ones pulling it over on themselves so we settled on this. He has another idea for another one which will be a bit more difficult. Lol, we also need more pins if he really wants to make it.

This is whats fun though... were gonna be able to bounce off ideas for our pins and keep coming up with cool ideas for it to work. And yes.... MORE PINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys should buy a "lot" on eBay for you to trade down there. Best rate is about 50 cents a pin.

Thats what im saying man. We bought 200 pins from someone off of ebay. Had some doubles... and we ended up keeping maybe 30 of them... but were taking the rest to trade. Trust me... there will be tons that you wont want to keep, and the trading part is a lot of fun down there. Let me enable this for you man... trust me! lol

I love the idea of sticking the pins in the shape of a Mickey head! Everyone is so creative with their pins, min just hang on my lanyard out of the way.

Okay, here are the pictures of DH's pin board, these are just his pins. It's nothing fancy put I'm pretty proud of him for doing it himself. Especially because he wasn't a Disney guy when we got married. It's hanging over his desk.

These are terrific! You've given me great ideas...I'm thinking I'll do displays in each of our bedrooms.

I tend to be a sorta tailored when it comes to decorating...doesn't someone sell cork squares that you can sort of make your own wall of cork with? I think I'd like to find those, and just leave the cork exposed. I kinda like the texture and look.

The one cork squares I have are for that. We just put fabric around it. They come with stickers to put them up... but I don't think they will be strong enough to hold the pins. Need to get the 3M stuff to make them really stick up there.

WOW! What was the base for it? And is that a Disney Fabric? Love it!

Jeff that looks great, now may I ask what you used for a frame. Is it home made or a commercially available frame, from a craft store or other such store.

Hey Mase and Vette - thanks! The base is from a picture we picked up at IKEA a few years ago, but had not found a place for it here yet, so it's been sitting in a closet. I wish I had mad skillz like mrhub!

I took the picture apart, cut 2 pieces of foam board to fit the frame, and covered them with Disney fabric that I had laying around.

Mase, Joe *really* has a few choice words for you now laugh

Jeff let us know how that foam board works, I was a little apprehensive on using that, didn't know how well the pins would hold in it.

Finished up today! Mrhub - I'm pleased with the foam board. My preference would be cork board, because I think it might be a little sturdier but I went with what I had around the house. So far, so good. And thanks Jess!
