I went in 2004, when the wand was still there, and got a great shot of it - ill dig it out and post it.
When I returned in 2007 it was gone, and I remember thinking how... Clean Spaceship Earth looked without it, but I kind of missed it!

I thought the Disney police came and locked you up for referring to thier glorious geodesic sphere as one of those things that gets hit by a club???
And I for one celebrated the removal of the wand - I like Epcot staying less "Disney". Introducing more characters to the park was enough.. The Living Seas didn't have to be "With Nemo and Friends!"??
OK - I'm going to climb off this soapbox before one of you pushes me off!
