Has anyone ever done the Picnic in the Park option at AK? The menu looks wonderful..but I've read reports of it not being enough food for the amount you spend..and I prefer coke to water.
Also, is this on the dining plan?
I think the Picnic in the Park is all but defunct... They changed it up a lot this past year, then cancelled it altogether. From what I hear, it's pretty much been brought down to "grab a few sandwiches at one of the shops" and call it a picnic.
It was on the dining plan back when it was full-fledged; not sure if it is anymore If I were you, I'd head over to flametree and call it a day!

I thought it was a great idea and it couldn't have been costing them that much to run. I wonder why they didn't stick with it. Maybe just didn't want to train people for something that not a lot of visitors were using?

I feel like I should make that "waa waa waaaaaaaaaaaaa" noise.
I thought I read a lot of good reviews in blogs and stuff..how weird that they aren't continuing it. Oh well..I've been wanting to try Yak & Yeti anyway.
I'm not sure what a great idea it was. The animal kingdom is H-O-T, and I don't want to sit outside and eat if I don't have to! I'll go to Flametree BBQ because it's great food, but I at least need to be under cover. With the picnic, you basically had to go out into the sun and chow down while you sweat!

Good point..Flame Tree is bad enough sitting in the hot hot heat. AK seems ten degrees hotter than everywhere else in WDW anyway.
