Pin Trading at Doorway To Dreams Store in Woodfield Mall

The Windy City Pin Traders received an invitation from DTD store to attend their pin trading sessions over 3 different weekends. It looks like they've set up places where people can do pin trading. It should be open to everyone interesting in doing pin and vinylmation trading.

The dates are:

Saturday, July 14
Saturday, July 21
Saturday, July 28

from 11 am to 4 pm. All the rules and etiquette for pin trading at a Disney park will apply here as well (i.e. you can't trade other merchandise, and you can't buy and sell). The cast members are also expected to be trading either off their cast lanyards or from their own private trading collection.

I will be attending the pin trading on July 14 and 28. The WCPT has their own pin trading at the Downers Grove Fuddruckers on July 21, so most of us will probably not make it to the DTD on that day, unless we end rather early on that day.

If you plan on being there, either to trade or just to look around, do let me know so that I can look out for you. It will be nice to meet someone else from this forum (other than Brad). Smile

that is fairly close so I may try and talk hubby into going to one. The DG fuddruckers is even closer though and oh man those burgers and jalapeno cheese!

Okay, I may have to try and make it out there, I'll be out of town on the 14th, but perhaps the 28th I can do.

If you do plan on showing up, either to the DTD pin trading, or to our WCPT pin trading at Fudd, let me know and I'll look out for you. Our WCPT Pin trading at Fudd occupies a separate room. Look out for our banners.

I was thinking of wearing a Mickey Ears hat for the DTD event, but I think other people might be wearing such hats as well. I am hesitant to wear my Dole Whip pins vest to make myself more "recognizable", but that vest is getting to be awfully heavy, and I'm saving it for my trip to WDW in Sept. for the Pin event.

So, anyone decided to show up for the first of the DTD pin trading tomorrow?

I'll be there with Mickey ears hat on! And bring pins! I have plenty to trade!

At DTD store right now. Very good turn out so far. Plenty of pins and vinylmation trading.

We got confirmation that DTD center here at Woodfield mall is closing in sept. This is sad since we come here often to trade cast lanyard pins with the cast members. We will miss the people.

We were down at Eureka College this weekend, so I didn't get to go. I'm still hoping to be able to catch another date!

We are tentatively planning on being there again this Saturday, but it will be late since our monthly WCPT pin trading at Downers Grove Fuddruckers is also this Saturday (come join us if you have the chance! 11:00 am till whenever). If we do make it to DTD, it will probably be around 2:00 pm.
