Pirate themed rooms at Carribean beach resort

My husband and I in order to get the free dining changed resorts and upgraded to a pirate themed room. It sounds like a lot of fun and we will get quite a few laughs out of the adventure. We also have a water view. I read recently that a water view could be of the lake or a pool which we don't really care which but it would be nice to know. Also yesterday I checked out the google map and noticed just how big the resort is and there is a bit of a walk to the food court. We are avid walkers and usually don't have a problem walking but were curious about just how much time it might take to get there. Any advice about the resort, rooms and any other info would be greatly appreciated.

From what I know the Pirate rooms are the furthest away. We might go visit so if we do I'll let you know what it is like.

According to the Caribbean Beach Resort Tribute Page, the path that goes around Barefoot Bay is 1.4 miles. So realistically you'll never be further than .75 miles away from the center point. The site also says that the Pirate rooms are in Trinidad South, which is off that path, but on the same side of the lake as the central building.

Based on a 20 minute mile, which is a brisk but not super fast walking pace, I would expect a 10-15 minute walk. 10 minutes if you're in building 34/35 and more like 15 if your in building 38/39.

When will you be making your trip? I would agree with Kristen and say that you should not be more than a 15 minute walk from anything. However, that usually means extra planning for me and my wife. (It isn't quite as easy to run downstairs and bring her back a pastry and fancy coffee in bed) Will have have a car when you stay on property?

We will be there Oct 18 to 26th...we aren't too concerned about the walk and yes we have our vehicle. We always drive down which is always a crazy adventure in itself!
