Pirates of the Carribean 4th Movie

With news that there will be a 4th Pirates of the Carribean Movie I was thinking. How many people liked the way the last one ended? I thought the first one was a great "turn off your brain" movie. I watch it on TNT while I'm doing other things, or when I'm feeling like completely doing nothing. But overall the 2nd was okay and the 3rd was kind of a bad ending IMO. That doesn't necessarily mean I'm thrilled to see a 4th installment. While I'm not happy with the ending of the 3rd, they've been downhill so can a 4th be good news?

I wonder if general dissatisfaction with the ending contributed to the decision. I mean at the end of the day we all know the basic algorithm is: Can we pump out one more movie and make money.

I just hope they really put some thought into making this one good and not just pumping out another POC to make more money. I have to agree with your algorithm Brad which makes me not want to see a 4th movie.

I really liked the first two but was thoroughly disappointed in the 3rd movie. I'm hoping the 4th does not follow the trend.

Yeah, I'll probably go see it, but then I will just be encouraging them to make another one. I also heard Keira Knightley might not be willing to join the cast?

I have read ridiculous rumors about how much Depp is getting. Certainly they can find enough coin to get Keira Knightley on board too.
