That does seem to be the general consensus, so I reckon I made the right choice

All choices are right as long as you wind up at WDW! clapping

This is true biggrin
I've already been to the All Stars anyway when I was a kid, so a bit of change will be good!

Up until the day before we booked it was coming up as All Stars (not movies, just sports and music) being significantly cheaper everywhere we looked, but then when we booked all the prices went up for ALL the resorts, including the moderate ones, so we just went for pop because by that point it was the same price as all stars. Shame it went up in price, but it made the decision easier! I'm happy with it anyway clapping

You'll love Pop Century! have you decided what decade you're going to request?

I didn't request a decade. The only thing I requested was if possible a room that faces the lake. I was tempted to request a decade, but they all looked good and this way we'll get a surprise when we arrive and find out which it is! Why, are some blocks better than others? (bearing in mind I'm not bothered about walking distance to buses/food court. If anything I like being able to walk a little more!)

Walking distance is probably the biggest thing. Then there's decor, but that doesn't vary that much. The only thing we worry about is the noise from the pool, but you can always change rooms if that's a problem. A minority of the rooms are positioned so that the acoustics mean you hear everything from the pool.

We'll we've gone for standard location, and isn't it only preferred that face the pool?

Yeah, walking isn't a problem for me. I like walking. And the theming looks good in all the areas from what I've seen, so I don't really care about that either biggrin

I never minded the walking too much at POP. We were in the wayyyyyyy back of the 80's building once and it wasn't SO bad. I liked walking through the resort hearing the different music in each section!
