It's almost here! This year's annual Disney trip is the largest we've ever done - My boyfriend, our two roommates, another good friend and myself. I've been solo planning trips for myself and friends for the last few years, and this one is going to be the best thus far, I'm sure of it.
Now that we've got our itineraries printed, our bags packed and our livers prepped - let's go over our upcoming trip!
September 20th - Arrival at Disney. We will be arriving on property around 5:30 in the afternoon, and checking into the Animal Kingdom Lodge - Jambo House. It's our first time at this resort, and we are excited to try something new! We're then off to dinner at Raglan Road in DTD.
September 21st - Magic Kingdom! We've got FP+ for the Seven Dwarves Mine Train, Big Thunder Mountain and Jungle Cruise (my personal favorite). We've also got lunch reservations at Liberty Tree Tavern. As the park will be shutting down early for MNSSHP that evening, we've got dinner reservations at Hollywood Studios (Hollywood and Vine) and will be catching the later showing of Fantasmic!
September 22nd - Hollywood Studios! We've got FP+ for Toy Story Midway Mania! (how anyone could do this ride without a FP is beyond me. Those line times are nuts!), Star Tours and Tower of Terror. We'll do lunch at 50's Prime Time Cafe and then since we missed Celebrate the Magic and Wishes the night before, we'll head back to Magic Kingdom after dinner at The Hollywood Brown Derby and be sure to catch the show!
September 23rd - Birthday Day! We'll start the day off at Animal Kingdom, we've got FP+ for Expedition Everest, DINOSAUR and Kilimanjaro Safaris, and then a quick lunch date at Yak and Yeti. We'll call it a day a bit earlier and head back to the resort for some rest and relaxation before we hop into our costumes and scoot over to Magic Kingdom for MNSSHP.
September 24th - Epcot! We've got FP+ for Spaceship Earth, The Sea with Nemo and Friends and then Soarin'. We've left this day free of all restaurant reservations to try and leave lots of room in our tummies for the Food and Wine Festival! We'll spend the full day there, and hopefully get to ride Maelstrom one last times () as well as catch Illuminations!
September 25th - We've blocked this day off for some quiet time. Since we've got a nice big room with a full kitchen at the resort, we figured a day with a big breakfast, some pool time and possibly a trip to Boardwalk or DTD would be excellent
September 26th - Universal / Islands of Adventure. We'll be doing the park-to-park day at Universal to check out their new Harry Potter section as well as taking the opportunity to ride the Hogwarts Express! Several of the people in our group will be hanging around in the evening to check out Halloween Horror Nights... I will not be one of those people.
September 27th - Park Hopper Day! We'll be starting the day at Animal Kingdom, and finishing at Magic Kingdom (we've got dinner reservations at Be Our Guest!). The day will basically just be a chance for everyone to get a chance to ride their favorite rides one more time, grab some more snacks at Epcot and then finish off with some fireworks and a great evening at MK.
September 28th - Come home
I'll do the follow-up report once we're back (data roaming in the States when you're from Canada is somewhat unreal).
No trips planned currently... But we're hopeful something in 2017!!!
