Who:
Shelley, 33- more trips that she should ever be allowed mickey
Jim, 36-dear husband who goes along with my crazy addiction to Disney awesome
Supporting Cast
Tami, 26- dear husband's sister who will traveling with us but going to Universal for 5 days (I know I don't understand either) confused
Gina, 36- my cousin who is also a Disney addict who just happens to be traveling to the World the same time as us. She is celebrating her niece's birthday and staying at AKL. Attending MNSSHP the same night as us mickey

Where:
Boardwalk Inn

When:
Oct 10-15

This will be our 3rd trip this year. We went on a solo trip (just me and him) in Feb and a family reunion trip in April with 7 members of my family. This was supposed to be the 2nd to the last trip this year but a few weeks ago we had to cancel our Nov trip. sad Since this is it for us for a while (at least a year) we upgraded from our original reservations at All Star Sports and are now staying at the Boardwalk. clapping
We are driving from Dallas, TX to Biloxi, MS on Oct 9th to pick up Tami and then will leave from Biloxi early on the 10th. We plan to hit EPCOT that night and mostly spend our time at the Food and Wine Festival. We also are spending 1 night at Universal for the Horror Nights and have tickets for MNSSHP on Monday the 14th. My husband has never been to the Food and Wine Festival, MNSSHP, or Horror Nights so it will be exciting to share all these wonderful events with him. Priorities for the trip are Toy Story Mania, Food and Wine, and MNSSHP. We will probably spend very little time at AK, and just a brief amount of time at DHS. I imagine the majority of the time will be spent between EPCOT and MK. We do not have any ADR's (see below)

On a side note, this will be an interesting Food and Wine festival this year as my husband had lap band surgery last Tuesday. He has begun to eat "mushies" now and hopefully by the time we leave for the trip he will be able to add a few more normal foods back to his diet. I will try to video blog daily as well as post a recap as well.

First of all, let me say how sorry I am you had to cancel the November trip sad BUT, congrats on upgrading to the Boardwalk yay I love that resort, and it's the perfect location for F&W. You can just cruise into Epcot for a snack whenever you want; it's like your own personal vending machine laugh
I also think you're gonna get hooked on Toy Story Mania (everyone else does!), so the proximity to that will be nice, too.

Too bad your DH just had surgery. That's gonna be a tough F&W for him surely sad At least he can probably have the cheddar cheese soup in Canada crossfingers crossfingers .

And he's never been to MNSSHP?? That will be so much fun!! He's gonna love it. Will you guys watch the parade?

I'm so excited to hear about the trip; can't wait for more updates. And I'm too scared to go to Horror Nights, so I'll be interested to hear about it. I imagine the queue line at Dueling Dragons is terrifying on Horror Nights... sad

(Also, what do people DO at Universal for 5 days?!? Seriously? waiting )

Will be interesting to see how your plans to spend little time in DHS and your experiences with Toy Story Mania intersect.

Yeah, we are curious about that as well. Normally aside from ToT and RnRC there's not much at DHS that is a "must do" I loved the animation tour before they got rid of the animators and ever since then I really just don't care for DHS. I don't know but the park just seemed tired to me. I am hoping that Toy Story Mania will change that. We shall see. Who knows I could want to spend more time there than I think.

Where'd you guys stay for your 7 person family reunion? I've been toying with the idea of a "family gathering"...

Agreed. I don't care about much there except ToT and RnRC. I wonder if TSM will turn DHS around like Soarin did for Epcot.

I think as far as rides go DHS is as good as any park (better than Epcot), but it just doesn't really have anything else for me besides the rides. I can chill in AK or Epcot or MK without even riding a ride, but I'm not sure what to do in DHS except eat at '50's primetime.
