It was so great to meet you and your mom (and at the Grey Goose Slushy stand no less)!
I LOVE the Rainforest Cafe, I know with all the restaurants on property, but I still love this restaurant. I love the inside of it with all the animals and the theme, and the tables are chairs are pretty as well as all the fish tanks!
And the food is always yummy I have never had a bad meal here. I love the coconut shrimp which sadly I can't have anymore, but its ok. This is actually one restaurant my fiance requested. I was telling him about the California Grill and he was like, "We are going to do the Rainforest Cafe right?!" and I was like, well duh! That is one of my favorite. So we will do either lunch or Dinner there when we go to Animal Kingdom.
Sucky to hear about your shoes! I looked on Ebay and they are already selling for like $250 silliness!
I have not heard a lot of good experiences at BOG, I went for lunch and thought it was ok, not any more special food wise than any other fast service, I am going to give dinner a go when we go in September.
Wow! Love hearing CM's going above to make someone happy. That is great!
Liner Cutters suck, end of story. I will loose my cool if this happens a bunch out next trip. Grrr

Right, the fact that we were both headed there was perfect!!! It was wonderful meeting y'all too! Keeping my fingers crossed for another one soon!

Rest of day 3
After waking from my nap I was ready to go again, I called mom and she was just leaving the MK so we agreed t meet at Hollywood Studios. I'm not a big fan of this park but we went and can say we went to all 4 parks this trip.
We TRIED to check out the Launch Bay. It was total chaos. We walked in and promptly walked right out. As we were fighting our way in a CM was coming out and he looked baffled. If the CMs are bailing I guess I should too Hopefully it won't be as bad in October so that Blondie and Joe can check things out. I did catch the Storm Troopers heading out also so there was no interaction, just walking a few people behind them.
I really don't feel the Disney vibe at Hollywood Studios at all. There are a couple great rides but other than that, it's pretty meh for me. Hopefully all of the new things to come will change all of that. I only took one pic here. It's of the Storm Troopers, I must have been tired...
We were hungry and I checked to see if anything had openings.. No luck unless we wanted to wait 3 hours... so we hopped on a Friendship Boat to Epcot.
Epcot was a hot mess also. Packed and lots of drinking. We stopped at Katsura Grill in Japan and ordered dinner Teriyaki Chicken and Beef with a side of edamame (I had to pay for this order lol) It was really good. Wasn't the best teriyaki I've ever had but it flavorful and very filling.
We strolled back to the front of the park stopping for a little more shopping and then off to the resort to hit the sack.
I think we were both asleep before 9pm

Day 4 Sunday - we planned on hitting Disney Springs before heading out but decided to head out early for home so that we wouldn't get stuck in the Daytona 500 traffic. Luckily, we only sat for about 25-30 minutes where 4 meets 95, it would have been much worse if we had waited.
All in all it was a wonderful trip. I am already planning on doing the Mickey's Jungle Jingle in November and races next year! I am officially addicted! I had the OK to do the Star Wars 5k the Friday before our cruise but it is sold out.... maybe next year!
Thanks for reading and following along with me!

You can walk the whole darn thing, Amy! As long as you can walk it it 16 minutes per mile or less, you're in business!

Great TR, JMed! I'm so glad that you enjoyed your first runDisney experience. And SCORE on all of the free food!
Next time try to hit Star Wars Launch Bay at the end of the night or during the Star Wars stage show du jour. We went during Symphony in the Stars--mainly because we had a kiddo with us who is afraid of fireworks. The place was deserted and we waited maybe 10 minutes for Kylo Ren and 5 minutes for Chewbacca.

I was really worried about that 16 minute thing. I was at 18 minutes the first mile and freaked out. There were so many people around me and I couldn't get thru most of them so running was a bust for most of it. There were also strollers which it specifically says in the guide NO STROLLERS. And a ton of little kiddos. To me, it seemed a bit less than official with the 5k. When I got to Canada and looked across there were still tons of people on the other side. I'm sure there is a time limit but I don't think they are as adamant about it as the "big races".

The 5K is not timed so you'd be fine I'd imagine there is some kind of time limit just so they can revert the park back to normal but it's pretty slack.

And let's be real--even on the big races, it's not actually 16 min/mile. There are people who are permitted to finish the race who come in well over that pace. They use it as a guideline for when you're out on the public roads because they can only keep the roads closed or restricted for a certain amount of time. This is the real reason that the Wine & Dine 1/2 was shortened last fall. They had to have Osceola Parkway reopened by a certain time and with the weather delay, they would have had to sweep too many people off the course.

When it comes to the 5Ks, as long as you're under 20 minutes a mile you're golden. They're not as strict as they are with the longer races, however the published time is 16 minutes and under.
