Princess meal

Seeing I have 2 boys, I'm thinking about doing a princess meal, having not done one yet. Yes I'm a Disney princess, Princess Figgy the cheap (thanks for that one watchmaker). Which one would you suggest? Why? I'm really looking forward to get some good blackmail pics of my boys! THNX

OK. Well, CRT is way too expensive. I think I would choke on my food when I got the bill. (Must be my Scottish ancestors blood).

Akershaus (or however you spell it)-the food just doesn't appeal to me at all.

So, 1900 Park Fare it would have to be. Besides, Lady Tremaine and the step sisters?!?!?! No brainer for me.

I haven't done any character meals at all at Disney sad ...That being said I've read various reviews and the big one at Cinderella's Castle seems to be the ultimate for little girls, however I'm not sure your boys would appreciate it sitting there with all those little girls in their outfits..My boy would have me walking the plank at Pirates if I ever tried to take him to a princess party...Lol....Hopefully someone will give you some ideas...The cheaper the better.. wink

I have a feeling my boys would have me out on the same plank, but they might be willing to do it for the all you can eat part

We've done CRT (a LOOOONG time ago...back in 2003 when you still had a shot a scoring a walkup table) and it was alright, but from what I understand, it has changed a lot since then--mostly in that it has seemingly become both more popular AND more expensive??

We've done Akershus for lunch and I loved it! It was still quite pricy, but I thought the food was outstanding. I wish they offered a princess-free Norwegian table service meal. I don't want to pay a premium for the princesses when all I want is the food. wink

We've done 1900 Park Fare, but only for breakfast, so no princesses there. We had Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Pooh, and Tigger. We went for Alice, Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins, but I'd go back for the strawberry soup! No no intel on dinner other than I will say that the setting felt shabby to me compared to CRT and Akershus. The furniture and colors make 1900 Park Fare look like it's right out of the 80's...the 1980's...like maybe the Golden Girls decorated the place.

Agreed. We did 1900 Park Fare for breakfast and all the food was lovely, but I'm just not a huge fan of the feel of the restaurant. Plus dinner only has the Cinderella characters if you're going for a full princess meal. We're going with Akershus for our next trip for our princess meal because we can't justify two table service credits for CRT.

Dear Mrs squeaky McFiggy Queen of Joisey,
we have done both CRT and the Norway breakfast.
Each were great in their own way.CRT is eating inside the castle ... no it isn't cheap but it is in the castle and that is very cool in itself.the food wasok but not amazing and the pprincesses do spend a fair amount of time at each table.
In Norway the food is better but it is never going to be gourmet for a character meal.It was a different set of princesses including Alice and Mary Poppins we met here.
Overallbi would recommend ankeshus as the price difference is significant .... unless you specifically want to eat in the castle.

Askerhaus was great, and you get the hard copy of your entry photo with Belle. For maximum boy cringeyness the princesses do a skippy little procession around the room. The food was good too, as its in Epcot my server loved telling me about his country, town and the dishes. I met ariel, snow, belle, mulan and cinders (this was a lunch service)

CRT was stunning but I had DDP, meaning I did not look at the cost, the venue and interaction was great, boys get a sword, girls a wand and there is the wishing star ceremony and parade. I have the menu screen shots somewhere and of course all of my photos. I met Mulan, cinders, snow, aurora, and jasmine. I also got a window seat and managed to watch wishes from inside - an awesome different perspective.
