A quick trip?

We REALLY want to go back during the free dining promo but I suppose I
don't understand the details of it. Must you stay at a resort hotel
for 5 nights/6 days? We were hoping to do a short trip just to stay at
the Poly and go to MK and Epcot and (hopefully) get tickets for MNSSHP

I was thinking just 4 nights - Tuesday to Saturday or Wednesday to Sunday (then I can be there over my birthday!)
and Olivia would only have to miss 3-4 days of school. We are most
likely going to use the airfare we have credit for on this upcoming
trip.

Thing is, we don't want/need park hopper passes and all that jazz. We
just want to get in some good dining, at some different resorts to try
new places, visit MK and Epcot and that's that. I wonder if this is
possible? I noticed the 4 park hopper passes are what really cost us
money! (besides the resort cost laugh )

I will give my TA a call this week...just wondered if anyone here knew off hand.

You MUST stay at least three consecutive nights in a Disney hotel, and you MUST buy at least a one-day magic your way ticket for everyone in your party. Those are the only stipulations that I can find.

Here's what Mousesavers says:

"Get FREE dining when you book a full price Walt Disney World vacation package for check-ins most nights 8/16/09-10/3/09. To qualify, you must purchase a vacation package that includes at least 3 consecutive hotel nights at an official Walt Disney World resort, plus at least a one-day theme park ticket.

With this offer, you basically get the Magic Your Way Plus Dining package for the price of a regular Magic Your Way package. To qualify, you must purchase a regularly priced Magic Your Way package consisting of at least a 3-night stay at an official Walt Disney World resort hotel, PLUS at least a 1-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket."

I think this is what is confusing me: a 1-day Magic Your Way Base Ticket.

I need to figure out the difference...We just thought, 'hey, we have airfare credit and Wyatt is still under
3 until November so maybe a quick trip would be fun' This last trip,
although we did go to HS and AK, we only went once to each park. Going
again this year we'd really only want to visit Epcot and MK, so I can't
see paying for a 4 park hopper pass if we know we won't use it for all
4 parks.

However, I wonder if just going down for a few days and
not opting for free dining - just booking some meals and budgeting for
them, would be cheaper?

UL, did you get a chance to talk to your TA? What's the news on your trip? Also, I think the base ticket is just a one park one day ticket--you have to pay extra for the park hopping, right?

I met a girl who lives by me who will be starting training this June to be a DVC seller at a local location! She has given me lots of wonderful information and ideas.

My plan is to use her as a referral and as my Guide and we'll be buying this September. Not sure if we'll finance, with the plan to pay off early (in 2 years) since there's no early pay off penalty or if we'll just buy outright - still thinking on that one but either way we won't be ready to buy until September and she'll be 'official' in August, so it works out.

We want BLT and I am praying we can buy in September and book for the end of April right away!

Bay Lake Towers will be a really great home property. I'd have to say that the last two would be the coolest in my opinion (Kidani and Bay Lake). Of course I'd be happy to stay in any of them.

We (well, *I* - lol) a so spoiled by that area - the Seven Seas Lagoon and the monorail right there. I just LOVE IT! I will admit I am not much of a fan of the 'modernization' of BLT but I had to weigh the pros and cons silly

To have the monorail right there, to be able to walk to MK, to be so close to the Polynesian - because you KNOW I will have to go there for dinner or breakfast each visit laugh - BLT is the perfect choice.

Being able to walk to the MK is even better than the monorail. You literally can walk out of your room and walk into the MK like 5 minutes later. That's hard to beat, although I think I'm with you and I prefer the theming at the Poly. I'd of course be happy to stay in any of them!

Yes, it'll be awesome just to have it! and hey, we can always try another DVC - I will be able to go every year! clapping (hopefully)

Are you planning fitting everyone into one room each year?

Well, we are a family of 5, with MIL we are 6 sooo, yes laugh

My plan is to purchase 2 contracts at BLT, 160 points each. That should give us enough points for a 2 bedroom villa

Would this local location be the Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island by any chance? Or is it the one in a Chicago suburb?
